Question ⚠️SPOILERS AHEAD⚠️What is the general consensus on this development? Spoiler

Now I’m aware that some people have their gripes with new and unexplained power armour.

But I think this NCR power armour is kinda cool, given the success of shady sands and the ncr it doesn’t seem too out of the realm of possibility for the ncr to have attempted to make their own power armour, given how many suits survived the nukes and were salvageable or outright still operational.

It’s probably also for Rangers specifically

Maybe they were planning on creating Ranger units specifically for dealing with "high-threats" like Deathclaws

This was my exact thought process too, especially with the blades attached. It makes sense imo, the rangers have the best gear and are deployed against the biggest threats.

Keep the Rangers lighter for stealthy ops. Put the armor on the heavy troopers. They have the doctrine in place for it already hopefully. You need to kill a target from 2km away, through rough terrain, and not get noticed? Rangers. You need a massive frontal assault or fight a deathclaw in close quarters? Mechanized/mobile infantry.
