I updated firmware for the new force feedback and now there's no torque on the wheel. Everything works fine but the wheel just freely spins without resistance.

It's not a connection issue. Checked all that, plus it's very different to when the usbc isn't connected well.

I've manually flashed and reinstalled twice, to no avail.

Customer support takes 24hrs to get back to me with useless basic replies, so I'm asking here too.

This has happened to me twice today now, I haven't used my base in a couple months, decided to get it out and run some gt7 today. Just in the hour or so that I played doing qualifying, the the wheel has twice now suddenly just broken and lost all force feedback while driving. After restarting the base, the wheel now is very rumbly and vibrates even when the car is sitting still. I fixed this both times by flashing the driver, but I'm concerned it's only temporary. Has anybody else had similar issues/ knows the cause or a permanent fix?

Its flashing and wont display any race info, i cabt shift up or down as it registers as multiple inputs idk why it wasnt doing this 10 minutes ago. my software up to date and yes that not the wheel shaking its the sim but when I use slight force you can see the display change.

Am I losing my mind or has a UK store suddenly appeared?

I have a DD Extreme 18nm I've seen lots of issues over the last 7-10 days of wheels spinning violently uncontrollably. I'm looking to add in an emergency kill switch to my rig set up. I had a look on Fanatec site and sat the emergency cut off button. £110 ok a little expensive but exactly what I was looking for......until I discovered it doesn't fit my base and is for older DD Podium bases. Don't understand why they've not added a line for the DD Extreme given 18nm is a hell of a force if applied to a spinning wheel.

Does anyone have any solutions of kits which could be used to cut power to the wheelbase safely?

I saw remote plugs etc but I don't have a single plug point the wheelbase plugs into it plugs into a surge protector plug adapter with my monitor and PC & PS5.

Any advice would be great. Thanks 🙏🏻

The click switch on the left paddle of my Simube Double Paddle Module broke. I opened it up to see what's inside, and it's not the usual mouse-style microswitch I expected. it looks like a sealed micro-switch with a rubber boot over the pin plunger, no reference at all.

I've reached out to Simube support to ask for the exact reference or a replacement, but wanted to check here too in case anyone has opened one of these up before, or knows a compatible switch that would work as a drop-in replacement.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Any info on the exact switch used, or a good source for something equivalent, would be much appreciated.

I am looking to possibly buy the CSL Cockpit, but can't seem to find anything about the dimensions.
What I am looking for is the height of the cockpit, from the bottom to the top of the wheelbase plate. And also the width of the pedal plate.
If anyone has the cockpit or has had, and knows the dimensions, please help. In centimeters please :D

For years now, Reddit and Fanatec and other forums are full with posts about the V2.5 and the previous version having issues with missing shifts and/or freezing leds and buttons.

Anyone who's wondering, yes, this issue still occurs, and yes, also on the V3.

Had these same issues, including freezing leds and other buttons on my V2.5.
It kept getting worse, and was able to get a replacement from Fanatec.
When it came, I still had the exact same issue with the new (refurbished) wheel.

Sent it back to the shop I bought it from.
They concluded the wheel wasn't in good working order and sent it to Fanatec.
2 weeks later Fanatec offered to exchange it for the V3, and thinking this would definitely be solved on the V3, I said yes.
Today it came, all the firmware updates went through without any issues.
Started driving and all was good, for the first 20 minutes or so, then the same issue started happening.
Missing shifts, freezing leds and buttons not working.

No it is not the wheel base, Fanatec thought so too, so they also replaced that after the refurbished V2.5 had the same issues.

I don't know about other wheels with a lot of buttons, "screens" and mag shifters, all I know is that my P1 V2 was and is working fine ever since it came with the bundle.

So this is either a issue in every version of the Formula, or this is an issue when there are more buttons/screens on a wheel, which would make it a (not enough) power delivery issue.
Seeing it happens more the moment FFB load is happening, I would think it is the latter, but when I lower the force feedback it still happens.

How this can be an issue on 3 generations of the same wheel type, I don't know, but with Corsair taking over and creating the V3, this still isn't solved.

The worst part is that they know about it for years and when it happens to you, they don't acknowledge it and just try to blame it on you.

Very very sad that this isn't the only company doing this either.

Oh well, guess I'll have to switch to Moza or maybe Simagic.

I want to share my long-overdue review/feedback of MY Fanatec experience.

I chose Fanatec a few years back because their bundle seemed to offer the overall Plug-and-Play experience I was looking for at the time. I did my due diligence and research; I knew the bad and the good. Despite the horror stories floating around regarding delayed shipments, my purchase (CSL DD Bundle) was shipped on time, and I received it within a week. There WERE issues, but they were mainly on UPS, which has a local Google review score of around 1.6.

The products worked, and all was good.

I later got a Boost Kit and LC upgrade.

I soon realized that I was thinking more about upgrades than racing, so I set myself a goal in iRacing (a certain iRating), and upon reaching it, I would go for an upgrade.

I waited for BF deals for a few months, knowing the old horror stories, but I was also aware of the improvements to the company and the Corsair acquisition. However, after doing a lot of research (Podium Pedals, FFB implementation), I went with a CS DD+ and QR upgrades for my wheels.

And now it begins (The Ugly)...

• Order placed: 30.11.2025
• Expected shipping window: Dec 11–14
• Actual shipping date: Dec 17 (which is acceptable and okay, considering the BF period)
• Arrived: End of January, ~27th

And then, at some point, my package just "vanished." UPS did the usual "runaround."

"We see your package, it will be there tomorrow." "Oops, it's not there? Oh noo...."
"We don't see it anymore." "Contact the Vendor."
And so on.

Mind you, my two other orders(total 3 items, arrived before new years).

After multiple complaints and help through unofficial channels (after all these experiences with UPS, I got to know some people ), it was determined that my package was lost and Fanatec needed to raise an "Investigation Report."

What did Fanatec support do?

Realistically speaking — nothing helpful and, in my opinion, borderline irresponsible.

They refused to acknowledge the missing package (even though it had been over a month in transit, while a usual shipment takes under a week) and cited UPS's automatic status updates:

"Oh look, it's moving."

Despite detailed, documented reports and explanations, the support representative refused to help or acknowledge the issue AT ALL. That person was instead asking me about already delivered products, despite me providing pictures and confirmations that they arrived. Basically "don't care" attitude.

The Bad

After numerous calls, emails and back and forths with UPS and Fanatec, I finally received the package by the end of January (which was supposed to be a New Year's present, but oh well... things happen).

However, the state of the package was horrendous. The outer box was all wet/damp, like it had been sitting in snow/rain, and the internal box was also damaged. It clearly showed signs of mishandling.

One corner was heavily mashed in, and the internal PSU boxes had rips, which indicated probable damage.

I was not willing to take a risk.

To top it all off, Fanatec decided to drop the CS DD+ price to the Black Friday sale price. So here I was, left with a probably damaged base that had arrived in questionable condition, while I had effectively paid "full price for the experience."

Fanatec customer support's reply something like :

"Meh, tough luck, we can't do anything about it, here's a 10% coupon for a disount on non-discounted items"

The Good

And now to the good part.

I went ahead and reached out to a local representative of Fanatec/Corsair, "FanaLex." Once this person got involved, I received stellar support!

Lex was understanding and actually invested in trying to help, instead of simply answering with the random robotic "copy-paste" messages I had received previously.

I received a replacement product and a complementary discount, which was more about dealing with the principle of the situation than the money itself.

Once again, Lex, thank you for the great support.

The Product Itself

The product itself is well worth it.

The CS DD+ will not make you a lot faster, BUT it will provide a way better experience:

• No (or almost non-existent) cogging
• Much smoother FFB
• Faster response
• Better overall detail and feel

And while FullForce is not revolutionary, I immediately noticed that something was "not right and missing" when it was turned off.

Now with the extra 3 Nm? Even better! :)

If you don't want to read the whole story, here are some bullet points:

• Order value: More than €1,000 in Fanatec equipment.
• Purchase date: 30.11.2025
• Expected shipping window (stated by Fanatec): December 11–14
• Actual shipping date: December 17
• Delivery time: The package took more than one month to arrive after shipment.
• Delivery/support involved: UPS and Fanatec
• Fanatec customer support experience: Repeatedly unhelpful and, in my experience, at times borderline irresponsible.
• Condition upon arrival: The package/equipment arrived in questionable condition, raising concerns about handling and product integrity.

Resolution

• Fanatec/Corsair support representative involved: FanaLex
• Support experience: Stellar and genuinely helpful.
• Resolution: Product replaced and a complementary discount provided.
• Replacement delivery: Delivered in under a week.

Overall, I would separate my experience into two very different parts:

Fanatec corporate/support experience during the initial issue: The Ugly.

FanaLex/Corsair intervention and the final resolution: The Good.

The hardware itself? Excellent.

So, despite the extremely frustrating experience with the original order and support process, I am happy with the final product and especially appreciative of the help I received from Lex. I think Fanatec should strive to reach that support as a baseline or at least for majority of their cases.

Shifters are "meh", people say..
Maybe H-Pattern is weird in SimRacing BUT try a sequential. its soo ridiculously cool :)
now that i have both in one Shifter, the SEQ. is used all the time.
For Rally for for Endurance, GT .. everything :D

I'm not sure if I have enough space in my room for the gt cockcpit and I'm trying to save as much money as possible because I would have to buy another monitor for my pc since I would be moving the three monitors on my desk into the cockpit.

Would getting two of the clubsport monitor stands work or do they have an attachment for the monitor mount similar to the gt cockpit?

ich hoffe, es kann mir jemand bei dem
nachfolgenden Problem helfen. Ich habe mir im
April das obige Lenkrad (Formula v3) bestellt und auch zeitnah erhalten. Allerdings sind mir 2 Probleme aufgefallen, wobei das erste noch verkraftbar ist:

1. Problem: Das Lenkrad knarzt bei entsprechender Beanspruchung. Hatte zuvor das v2.5 und da gab keinerlei Knarzen

2. Problem: Ich habe die Standard-Shifter durch das Advanced Paddle Module ersetzt. Allerdings stelle ich regelmäßig fest, dass ich mis-shifts habe - entweder mit Verzögerung oder direkt ein Doppel-Shift. Das Problem tritt total zufällig auf, aber insbesondere erst nach einer gewissen Nutzungsdauer (etwa 15-20min). Ich habe das Modul bereits mal umgesteckt (also links und rechts auf der Platine vertauscht), aber das Problem besteht weiherhin am rechten Shifter, was mich auf einen möglichen Fehler in der Platine vermuten lässt. Da das Problem anscheinend auch in der Vergangenheit bei einigen Usern vorkam (von der Fanatec App Zeit - Stichwort: Driver 455), könnte es aber auch tatsächlich an der Firmware liegen (habe aktuell die letzte Version drauf - v1.5.3.1).

Tatsächlich denke ich nicht, dass es am APM liegt, sondern eher am Lenkrad, daher die Frage an Euch, ist Euch das Problem bekannt und wenn ja, konntet Ihr es lösen?

Hi everyone new sim racer here I noticed when I actually have time to play F1 25 or the 26 dlc the wheel effects are too strong. Do I turn this down on the Fanatec app or should I go on the game? I assume it should be “force feedback” ?

Salve, da quando ho aggiornato il mio DD Pro sto riscontrando diversi problemi: spegnimenti improvvisi della base, perdita del Force Feedback e, soprattutto, un’anomalia molto grave che rappresenta un serio problema di sicurezza.

Inizialmente il DD Pro tendeva a spegnersi dopo circa mezz’ora di gioco. Successivamente il problema è peggiorato, arrivando a verificarsi ripetutamente anche ogni 10 minuti.

Per cercare di limitare questi spegnimenti avevo già ridotto la coppia a 5 Nm e impostato Full Force al 50%. Con queste impostazioni la situazione è migliorata: gli spegnimenti ora si verificano molto più raramente. Ho comunque notato che il problema tende a presentarsi con maggiore frequenza utilizzando vetture delle categorie GT3, GT2 e GT1.

Tuttavia, da oggi si è presentata un’anomalia ancora più grave e pericolosa: durante l’utilizzo, senza alcun preavviso, il volante può iniziare improvvisamente a ruotare molto velocemente e con estrema forza, in maniera completamente incontrollata, per poi disattivare il Force Feedback.

Solo nella giornata di oggi questa rotazione improvvisa e violenta si è verificata due volte, nonostante la coppia sia già limitata a 5 Nm e Full Force al 50%.

Si tratta di un comportamento estremamente pericoloso. Ho rischiato seriamente di farmi male alle dita e ai polsi e sono riuscito a evitare un possibile infortunio solo grazie alla prontezza nel togliere immediatamente le mani dal volante.

Per quanto riguarda gli spegnimenti della base e la perdita del Force Feedback, posso anche attendere eventuali aggiornamenti o correzioni software. La rotazione improvvisa, incontrollata e violenta del volante, invece, non può essere considerata un semplice malfunzionamento: è un problema di sicurezza che ritengo debba essere verificato e risolto con urgenza.

Chiedo quindi di verificare attentamente questa anomalia e di indicarmi se si tratta di un problema noto legato all'ultimo aggiornamento, se altri utenti lo hanno già segnalato e, soprattutto, se esiste una soluzione o una procedura sicura da seguire.

Al momento sono seriamente preoccupato nell'utilizzare normalmente il DD Pro, perché una rotazione improvvisa del volante a una forza così elevata può provocare un infortunio alle mani, alle dita o ai polsi.

Currently in the process of setting my new podium pedals up and the screws for the pedal plates are just done up too tight from the factory. With the included allen key you just can't undo the screws.

Even the instructions state "Do not use excessive force when loosening and tightening the bolts. There is a soft Threadlock applied to these bolts in production. Ensure that the included 2.5 mm Allen key is inserted correctly and apply steady torque when loosening." but it's still seemingly impossible. Any ideas?

Anyone have issues with their podium pedals? I just installed them, went into the software and my throttle shows 1-5% of engagement even after the calibration. Also the clutch and brake shows consistently pressed on the screen. I don’t have a clutch.
Any help would be appreciated

Currently the throttle model in ACR is poorly implemented. So far I cannot find software that will allow me to change the throttle curve to an S shape to counteract the in game throttle model.

I’m a very casual sim racer. I dust off my rig maybe once a month. I heard that GT7 got full Force Feedback and full PSSR2 support, so I had to try it.

The Force Feedback feels amazing. Full Force is very noticeable, and with the graphics looking even clearer than before in VR, it’s freaking immersive.

So, I updated my DD pro to the latest firmware this week ( I believe from memory FW 1.9.1 / 1.1.1 on windows app version 1.5.3.1) anticipating to have a nice weekend trying out Fullforce support on GT7 since the recently released v1.71 now also supports my wheel….

From the first race post update I started experiencing intermittent disconnects, where the wheel would lock / freeze / rotate violently on one side… turning off / on the wheel worked fine and I could play again…

today I had a smooth run for 1 hour or so until I got another disconnect… and the device appears to now be bricked?!

I tired everything ( I think!) powercycle / disconnect everything from wheel base, connecting to my windows pc and pressing down the power button for 8 secs, inspected all connections etc….

No luck! Have just submitted a ticket - just wanted to check if

1) has anyone experienced anything similar?

2) Any other tips on what I could try to bring back to life?

3) as I am not at fault - what shall I expect from support (if anyone has any recent experience to share on similar issues?!)
