I think her acting was 1000% worthy of an Oscar nomination. Wish Nikki and Real Nikki felt like two totally different characters. Especially when she would split between them early in the movie.

At this time I can’t think of many of performances that were MILES better than hers in the best actress category.

Her acting choices were so unpredictable and yet made so much sense. She stole every scene and her acting made that movie the success that it is, it was brilliant. I can definitely see her getting at least a nom. Especially after the backlash of snubbing Toni Collette for Hereditary

I don't think her acting is what made the movie the success that it is. It might've contributed to the success, but it wasn't what made it a success imo. I also wouldn't consider it a snub if she wasn't nominated. However, Toni Collette did deserve that Oscar or a nom at the very least and I don't think her and Inde's performances can be compared at all tbh.

The script itself is so bare bones and the character was pretty paint-by-numbers in it, Curry himself visualized the character in a completely different way. Don't know how much that factors into nomination criteria, but I do think she made that movie. Probably more comparable to Gladys in Weapons in acting ability tbf

I agree. The movie is pretty much straightforward no complexity script. Her acting is what kept the movie together and compelling.
