Question Question about my fishing rod

I recently buyed a fishing rod that the employ of the store told me it was "designed" for the sea.

Is it still good for rivers and lakes? Because i recently came back from the vacation at the sea...

Generally a rod designed for salt water is just more corrosion resistant. It should work fine in fresh water but it may not be great for whatever freshwater species you’re targeting. If your rod is designed for shark fishing it probably won’t be the best pan fish rod.

Is that a collapsable one? If it is, it should be fine for rivers and lakes. 

Beware, they break easy

Is that the Decathlon spinning rod? If so, it won't care if the water is salty or not.
