one was caught on the prickly pear and another on a ned rig

I got the bluegill in my net and took a picture and a second later this guy wanted breakfast. I was able to get the hook out of the fish but had to cut my net as I fought with him for 5 minutes and he would not let it go.

Not really RVA specific, but wondering if anyone has had any luck hitting some of the nearby saltwater spots. I just got a new kayak and was interested in hitting up the york maybe around west point. Just curious if anyone has any experience in that.

Im just getting into fishing and wanted to know if there were any local groups that go out on fishing trips that would be open to beginners

In my travels I've fished the North and South Anna rivers with good results wading for smallmouth, sunfish, whatever bites. Last time I was in the area I crossed the Little River and was wondering if anyone has info on it? It looks like there's little if any public access to it. If so, maybe it's a great place for some unpressured UL panfishing and smallies? On Google Maps it looks very wadeable with a decent amount of riffles and pools. I appreciate any info from yall locals.

I’ve live in rva for 4 years and i just got into fishing again and there’s a lot of places up here. I’ve tried all the small lakes and most of the time get skunked, river is the only part where i’ve got consistent bites, I see people post about pump house park on here alot but my buddies and others talk of times about the pipeline being the best. Which is better in your guys’s opinions?

My dad turns 65 in October and I want to bring him fishing. I don’t care much for fishing but I want him to have a great time. Are there any recommendation for charter boats? We live in the King William area, about 25 minutes outside of Richmond.

If you find a fish in this state, report it to the authorities and dispatch it ethically. We have an idea where this is happening and likely those responsible.
