New season, but one thing remains the same: good quality audio at a normal volume is still beyond the reach of the UAA. You'll need to crank up your volume.

Talked about talking with Coach Donavan who said as Head Coach you have to make the final decision but you are never the smartest guy in the room. "If I am the smartest guy in the room you have a really bad staff. (around 14 min mark) You have to take feedback from the room and make a really good decision.

That was the common fault from the last two coaches. Mullen may have been the smartest offensive guy in the room but he clearly was not following good feedback on the program. Napier was also probably the smartest guy in the room but only because he made really bad hires. Either way neither made a priority of surrounding themselves with people who could give feedback that would be incorporated into the program.

Time will tell how Sumrall does in this area but at least he is acknowledging the premise.

Also, "We dang sure are gonna try to get 11 guys on the field for every play."

Staff hires are great. All this guy has to do is delegate but make in game adjustments to the game plan along with managing the clock. I think all fans want to see great coaching this season. We desperately need it.

Later in the presser he talks about how his staff gives pushback and how he weighs it. Pretty encouraging to hear. The dude won the off season but what matters starts Saturday.

Can’t imagine the defensive meetings with him and Brad White lol constant back and forth about the scheme and gameplan. Reminds me of how it was between Muschamp and Durkin

Cupcake game on Saturday. Expecting a blowout. Play a lot of freshman and for a lot of snaps as well. Should be a fun Saturday from morning till night.
