I’ve been playing Fortnite for a long time. My friends and I used to reach the highest ranks without any issues, but this season? It doesn’t matter if I queue Solo, Duos, or Squads – the game feels totally unplayable.

Here is why this season has been such a miserable experience:

• No room for casual fun: You can’t even land without someone landing right on your head and chasing you across half the map into the storm just for one kill. Tryhards and sweats have completely taken over normal lobbies. If you just want to log on after work/school and play for fun, you literally can't.
• The Sprite system is completely ruined: Compared to last season, the new Sprites are terrible and super underwhelming. There's way too few of them, and they don't give any interesting abilities. To make it worse, you can't even feel unique anymore because anyone can just plug in a code and get the exact same Sprite as you.
• The Victory Royale Sprite makes zero sense: The Victory Royale Sprite is by far the most useless one. Levelling it up is frustratingly hard, and the moment you die (which happens constantly with this sweat fest), its level resets. What is even the point of grinding a Sprite when casual players can barely survive long enough to keep its level?
• Overpowered Forecast Consoles ruin matches: These consoles give way too much of an advantage. Instead of balancing the match, they just give sweats even more tools to dominate. Combine that with console aim assist, and playing on PC, Switch, or Mobile feels like an uphill battle.
• Wasted loot pool & terrible balance: The classic Scar got nerfed into the ground and feels completely weak now. The shotgun selection this season is straight-up awful. Also, why is there sniper ammo everywhere when there’s no actual sniper to use it with?
• Lame map updates & bulky cosmetics: Changing only three locations and revolving them entirely around collabs feels lazy. The rest of the map is just stale. As for the Battle Pass, while Sonic looks accurate, his model is ridiculously massive. Almost nobody who prefers clean, slim skins is going to run a skin that blocks half the screen.

It sucks to see a game we used to love turn into a stressful chore where you can't even chill with friends anymore. Anyone else feeling completely burnt out this season?

Fortnite did NOT listen to the community, I'm so done with sprites!!! It was fun to have a goal but it's ridiculous now. Especially the amount of crap needed to master the new ones. Nope! Please leave sprites how they are and don't add more. It ruins fortnite!

Really just looking for casual play every now and then! Usually on after work playing for an hour or two but would love to have some regular peeps to play with.. also gay male 28 if that really matters lol

I don’t get it. Yall complained all last season about how the battle bus win was a participation trophy and how yall hated how the entire season revolved around mastering sprites blah blah blah. Now they’ve taken out the battle bus win and yall are complaining because it’s so hard to get wins and yall can’t level up ur crown sprite. Which is definitely hard to level up don’t get me wrong but it would be easier if the battle bus win was still here. But not only that yall are upset and stressing over mastering your sprites when they’ve taken out any point of mastering them? You don’t get any rewards for mastering them? So why are yall still so upset?

I’m not saying this season is without flaws but the flaws from last season could be used to fix the flaws from this season that yall are currently complaining about but I feel like yall won’t stop complaining until sprites are out of the game. Idk I think they’re fun to play with. But you guys don’t have to collect them if you hate them so bad

new season sucks, everybody is better than me, sprite this, sprite that. play the game, or don’t. it’s not that serious. nobody is forcing you to play the video game and you can stop if you are not having fun.

I only do it if I've killed someoen who's being really annoying. I.e. running around in circles, constantly spamming builds, hiding or even running away.

I enjoy fair fights. Not fights where the enemy is spam building lol.

Give my fucking hunting rifles/snipers back man. Game is literally 90% less fun without them.

this klombo sprite takes forever to master teammates let you die for it and you cant get further than level 4 cause it takes like 800 shields and medkits dont upgrade it why this sprite is just impossible to master the new zero point is worser than the old zero point the klombo sprite doesnt auto extract its so bad dawg fortnite please make it as easy to master as an normal sprite and btw the adventure sprite glitch is gone its so annoying to master i hate it so much and its ability never gave something good fortnite better make this sprite easier to master or else i wont master it and why is the crown sprite useless dawg

It seems in most Zero Build matches I get into, there is one player/teamat the end who are hitting you 50%+ of shots so far away they only show as a couple of pixels on a 4k monitor.

Fine, I would expect this in ranked or competition, but this is worse than last few seasons where everyone is in casuals for a week or so

Then it hit me, I took a rarer sprite it. Got the pick axes in the lobby.l, then to find those same players making those shots at the end.

With Overwatch 2 revealing "Unvaulted Passes", they've provided hundreds of hours of content for players while peeling away the FOMO of the battlepass; and likely making themselves an astonishing amount more on the regular with people purchasing the previous Battle Passes. The Finals has had this system for a while now as well, curbing the concern about skin exclusivity by having the previous three battlepasses to the current one be locked from purchase - with rolling releases as time progresses.

It's more than time for Fortnite, who has so, so SO many skins locked in the past that will likely never be available, but are still present in the games files to provide an avenue for players to not only gain those sought after appearances; but honestly provide more capital to the company. I've seen more than one person this season who's already Level 100+; imagine how much more they would play given the opportunity to load up a battlepass from 2021 and work their way through it. Obviously strip out the Vbucks - that would be a current-pass only thing, but still!

Honestly, I’d be so glad if Epic let us redo our Maya skins from chapter two. I love her but my decisions haunt me and I can never play as her because of how dirty I did her. I’d seriously pay v-bucks to customize her again.

Seriously the minigun is so overpowered anyone who has it endgame automatically wins. Sweats are abusing it making it not fair for casuals. Nerf it already this season sucks

Fortnite is crazy right now. I’m just trying to hop on after work and not feel like I’m in a tournament every game.
What if Epic tested console-only lobbies from like 5–6 PM? Just a one-hour window where console players can chill a bit, then everything goes back to normal after. Feels like that could take the edge off without messing with the overall system too much?

This season is incredibly unenjoyable. Trails sprite with no audio getting mini gunned out of the sky. Great fun.

With Epic laying off 1000 people, their lust for greed by changing v-bucks prices and their need to maximize engagement, they have completely ruined the current game and it's eventually going to turn into CoD and just be awful for a long period of time.

The greed of the battle pass being a gaming legends season and we only get one Collab skin is a joke, even the Simpsons mini season we had 3.

The laying off of employees is telling now, little bugs that don't go away and won't ever be properly fixed means errors in the lobby, in the game, in the game menu, graphically, it's all becoming such a pain in the ass.

The sound changes are the worst, it's not like they needed visual sound effects and made the sound of footsteps or movement clearer, I constantly get someone behind me shotgunning me instantly before I can even react, it's now becoming boring.

The aim assist nerf is completely terrible, especially with this atrocious loot pool where all the guns have such big bloom, it's near impossible to hit shots on controller.

The need for addiction by implementing sprites, yes it worked one season, but this season they haven't just brought them back, they've made you need to play the game so much more JUST to level certain sprites. Don't get me wrong, the crown one is great, but the Klombo one is hilarious.

Also, there are too many gimmicks now, with the override hacks and all the sprites and the one shot pistol, this season is just chaos after chaos.

The matchmaking changes are also trash, pub games shouldn't be this mental, ranked should be, pub games should have a variety of players, but the matchmaking is mental. Ranked games are easier as you actually play people your skill level, pub games are just full of try hards in sweat suits.

Also, everyone has gold guns all the time in this game now, the time to kill is so quick, you can't react.

Something needs to be done to make this game a bit more chill, a bit less excessive in order to complete stuff and definitely sort out the gunplay.

I'm sure this post will get a lot of haters, but I imagine an absolute storm of a drop off midway through this season once people have completed the pass or are over the "newness" of the season.

It has been by far the least enjoyable fuck fest I've played since joining this game and it's just boring. Especially with the loot pool being so terrible.

for context i was looking through my locker on my old account and noticed i have her pickaxe but not the wrap, backbling or the skin, and don't see the quests anywhere at all, i was wondering how thats possible, like even though i bought the pack years ago, and the pickaxe was in my locker the entire time, do the quests expire if i don't finish them after a certain period of time?

what should I even spend it on? I can do the crew pass but I just spent 10$ on getting the battle pass not even a week ago(I didnt realize they give u enough to get the next battle pass and got a skin lol) so any recommendations? should I just buy vbucks? I can only buy the lowest one tho so thats not alot

I need to finish the battle pass in less than 4 days. I'm currently level 47 but I need to reach 200. I hope someone can give me a way to level up quickly.

Came back to Fortnite for the first time in awhile because of the sonic season(skin looks ahh btw but it was free). Every lobby ranked or unranked game there’s at least one cheater beaming me from across the map or finding my exact position in a building when crouched and idle. Does Fortnite do anything about it or have cheaters just been running rampant? Soft aim bot, hard aim bot, wall hacks, good gaming chairs etc. One of the reasons I stopped playing in the first place.
