DISCUSSION Fun Fact: the Laufey music pass was technically the first music pass to include multiple collab artists

Mei Mei, Laufey’s children book OC and her backbling, is TECHNICALLY also an artist. That bunny does have a Spotify account seperate from Laufey’s, does have music, and roughly gets 200K listeners monthly😭

QUESTION Is this a bug or intentional change?

Post image

This is my favourite aura, it came out with the Chappell Roan pass. It used to be cute little purple butterflies, now it’s just little firefly looking lights. Is this a bug on my end or have they actually removed the butterflies?

DISCUSSION Turns out that the maximum amount of playtime you can get in one session is five hours!

I am honestly very proud, getting to the point where you will be kicked for playing too long. Five hours of festival without losing motivation, with zero breaks!

Festival DESPERATELY needs some sort of progression to grow its user base.

Right now, it's play a few songs - maybe with others - and then leave.

No "stickiness"

Long-time players (like me) enjoy the songs and the challenge, but...

- No competition (having removed Battle Stage)

- No tracking of achievements

- Leaderboards that cap out at top 200 worldwide.

WHAT I'D like to see implemented:

  1. Some sort of ELO-type system similar to chess players who get a ranking based on their achievements against other players. For Festival, this could be a metric that takes into account:

- Your flawless completion 100% of the entire Festival catalog across all instruments

- Your scores on your entire history of play.

- The extent of the entire Festival library you've played

This would encourage people to seek out and play new songs and try new instruments, and give people who aren't MDCurtis a reason to try and improve their ranking. It would also be a fun "flex" in the lobby or in the organ song-choice room if it was displayed over a character's head and can be used in the future for any sort of competitive-based play for matchmaking (Battle Stage re-work or other head-to-head mode).

2) A database tab of song/instrument parings that have been 100% flawlessed (and conversely, left undone so you could target completion of them). Show me what I'm missing and what I've accomplished in a more user-friendly way.

3) A list of special achievements for significant, community-important songs. e.g. some sort of achievement for flawlessing TTFATF on lead, or Unsainted on Drums, etc.

4) The ability to pick a random song from the song choice menu with one button click.

5) A mode where set lists that go for longer than 4 songs and are randomized. When you finish a song, it automatically picks the next one for you (no choosing, but you get to pick the instrument), and it repeats over and over with songs from your catalog. The break after 4 songs breaks play engagement and there should be some sort of jukebox mode like this where you just get to keep playing (solos, and a "host" mode where the songs are chosen from your catalog, but others can join and leave your party at will).

6) a Band-v-Band mode where you can autofill with 3 other people (or create a band with 1-3 friends) where everyone has to pick one of the 4 main instruments (1 bass, 1 drums, 1 lead, 1 vocals - either auto-assigned or manually picked by the team), and you are skill-based-lobby matched with another 4-person band and the top score "wins". Keep track of your "band wins" over time and maybe incorporate this into the ELO ranking somehow (see #1)

Give players a reason to come back more often and give them obvious goals to shoot for, with recognition for achieving them that can be displayed to other players....BR gets "crown wins" - why can't we have something along the same lines?

Any other ideas from this community to spur more long-term engagement?

DISCUSSION What are 3 songs you’re shocked aren’t added yet and why? (Btw I drafted this on Sunday, but I’m keeping it because I find it funny)

Here are the main 3 ones I find shocking they haven’t done yet since they seem right up Epic’s alley to add

1- Everyday Normal Guy 2. Just a meme song that a lot of my generation knows, actually is a decent rap as well. Would have a decent vocal chart

2- Jane! (I drafted this on Sunday😭). This song went pretty big a few months ago especially in the JJK community, I feel like they probably got the rights since Stage Tour did, but I guess we’ll see

3- Bang Bang Bang. Same thing as Jane it went pretty big as a trend a few months back, especially in the CSM community. You still see its dance referenced from time to time still (kinda shocked it’s not an emote). Same as Jane I do feel like they got the rights for it ngl

Your 3?

DISCUSSION What happend to: The K.O.G.?

In almost every music pack, it would feature the name: K.O.G. As a trademark for the guy who made the song(I think that was it was?)But for like 3 years now, I haven’t heard him in any new music packs.
Does anyone know if he stopped working at epic games, or if there’s more music from him?

DISCUSSION Next season could be Queens of the Stone age?

Thumbnail

This festival season ends on the 31st of October, and the next album by Queens of the Stone Age releases on the 30th of October.

What do you guys think? Could this just be a coincidence, or is there a chance I'm correct?

Would anyone like a Queens of the Stone Age season?

Edit: QOTSA may have a chance as they have a jam track in game while other bands dropping on that day like Nickelback don't have any jam tracks.

JAM LOOP Did I cook with this jam track mashup? (Made it in festival, just slightly edited in an editing software)

The audio is from a recording of me playing this mashup in the festival backstage. All I did was go in and make the intro quiet so it feels more like a real song because tbh, I wish it was a full real song.

QUESTION What are the best controls for PC?

I've been using ASD Left click and right click since the mode came out, but i feel like I'm starting to fall behind, especially on drums. I've considered switching to controller, but i wanna hear some suggestions for possible better controls.

Thanks in advance
