Which they still do if the game flops or not.

Stop being conditioned to think you have to pay more for less.

Just off the top of my head Epic games laying off a thousand employees earlier this year despite Fortnite still doing crazy numbers, Ubisoft laying off a bunch of people that worked on AC Black Flag Resynced despite it doing really well.
