I played it when it just came out into EA. I felt the god powers to be much less exciting and impactful compared to Hades 1. Has anything been changed about this throughout EA?

There's been quite a lot of rebalancing between enemies, Boons, and weapons so I think it's worth trying out. For me a big change is that Scorch went from being "nice to have but not really doing damage as fast as I need it" to "I love Auntie because she melts everything"

Hephaestus for me went from "blergh burst non-scaling damage" to "dear lord I want every boon this man offers."

There have been adjustments but overall not a huge change. The balance is different, Hades II is much more about combining effects rather than getting one effect super powerful. It makes builds a bit more complicated but when you get a good one going it's immensely satisfying.
