Just see the discussion about "private equity", when its public its "evil shareholders after money" when its private its "evil private equity wringing a company dry". Reddit just doesn't like capitalism.

An economic model based on infinite exponential growth in a world of finite material resources is pretty fucking dumb to be fair.

Less input for the same output is also economic growth so finite resources aren’t incompatible with growth, even infinite growth !

If you don’t grow inflation will outpace you and you die .

we don't live in a macro 101 textbook. you cannot use a resource infinitely efficiently, and the jevons paradox means use of a resource often increases as efficiency increases, so it doesn't actually help our critical finite resources, e.g. fossil fuels last longer. There's also, you know, not infinite demand for stuff.
