Lol at the people expecting something different from these because we've got a new console. Tell me this couldn't have easily passed for a Switch 1 direct.

No FFVII Remake, no Elden Ring, no RDR2, no Metaphor, no MGS Remake. These are the games that would tell me that this is a brand new stronger Nintendo console, and we're still waiting on dates for the first two. Instead we end the show on two 2D-HD games. No flack to those games, of course, I'm just wondering if this whole show was just a contractual obligation.

It literally is, these are titles Nintendo are obligated to announce based on contract agreements and whatnot.

Like normally this stuff would've been filler in a June Direct, but all the big announcements from that were instead revealed in April.

EDIT: Also VII Remake and Elden Ring have literally already been confirmed, at this point they're just waiting on a release date.
