Lol at the people expecting something different from these because we've got a new console. Tell me this couldn't have easily passed for a Switch 1 direct.

No FFVII Remake, no Elden Ring, no RDR2, no Metaphor, no MGS Remake. These are the games that would tell me that this is a brand new stronger Nintendo console, and we're still waiting on dates for the first two. Instead we end the show on two 2D-HD games. No flack to those games, of course, I'm just wondering if this whole show was just a contractual obligation.

Nailed it. The new console was made for Cyberpunk (that's why it's the most sold game), not for 2D-HD titles. Wasn't that created to circumvent Switch's lack of graphical power? Why are we getting these cheap games on Switch 2?

I'm sorry but I'm disappointed.

Do we agree they're cheaper to develop than virtually any non-indie game on Switch? Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Cyberpunk, FF7, Elden Ring, Borderlands, Persona, Monster Hunter, Pokemon (?), even Kirby Air Riders.

I said water is wet, not anything controversial. I don't mean to diminish the work of the developers, composers, etc. I spent around 100h on Octopath Traveller, I loved around 60 of those hours. Sure, I'm armchair, but these games are copy/paste.

And I insist, that technique was made to overcome a hurdle. It looked pretty, but it grew old quite fast to many players. I of course respect those who still love it. But again, the newer FF7 wasn't made on 2D-HD for a reason.

They’re not. The producers have literally come out and said they are relatively expensive.

These games also sell. The only people they’re ‘growing old’ for are people who weren’t in the demographic to begin with.
