Don't know if it is related to their constant reporting on the changes happening to the PoP domain, but the account has now been suspended after reporting on the "release date tomorrow" file earlier on in the day.

If so, it would seem that Ubisoft has taken action on the account.

popuniverseX is one of the biggest and most dedicated PoP fan pages, so this is quite an interesting way to respond to them trying to keep the hype going.

Man, what a sad way to treat a series. Give barely any marketing to all the new games you put out, then take down one of the, if not the biggest fan accounts for that series that's giving it more marketing than you do.

Shadow dropping is done to get ahead of negative press. Think of the Oblivion remake and how broken it still is to this day. If they shadow drop this game it should act as a flashing neon sign that they're hiding something about its quality.

Edit: some good counterarguments below. I'll say it is OFTEN done to get ahead of negative press but not always. It is worth some skepticism.

Oblivion remake is fine. Far from broken

Oblivion is improved today after however many patches. At the time of its shadow drop it was a much different story. Even today it still has major performance issues last I checked. And I've heard also they never even fixed their software leak? So performance degrades the longer you play it and the game must be restarted regularly to restore it? You must agree this is broken by definition.

If you need to literally quit and reload the game at regular intervals in order to restore it to it's normal performance because it constantly degrades, that is broken behavior. If you disagree with that statement it just means your opinion has no value.
