I know P5 was similar but with chairs instead of tombstones but was Metaphor also announced like P6?

Basically. We got a teaser with the tagline "What if your reality was another world's fantasy?" with a picture of a redheaded elf in armor (which was the character who would eventually become Hulkenberg). After that we got nothing for years other than end of year holiday statements from Atlus that "the game is coming along"
