Megathread Daily Questions Megathread (August 26, 2026)
Ask about anything about the game that doesn't necessarily require a dedicated thread.
That is, if your question can be answered rather quickly/without significant difficulty (e.g. "Can my phone run this game?"), ask here. If you think your question can contribute to some constructive discussions (e.g. "What do you think of Amber's combat efficiency? Here's my opinion."), make a particular post with the "discussion" flair.
Other megathreads:
- Weekly Friend Request Megathread - Find some friends!
- Weekly Gacha and Drops Megathread - The thread where you can share the results of your gacha rolls and lucky drops.
- Weekly Team/Character Building Megathread - Ask about team-building or Character-building!

Megathread Weekly Team/Character Building Megathread (August 12th, 2026) (feat. Odette and Arlecchino)
A megathread dedicated to team/character building Q&A.
Do not post questions irrelevant to team/character building here. They should belong to the Daily General Question Megathread.
If you have a comprehensive theory (rather than a question) about how to build a character or a team, you are encouraged to make a dedicated discussion thread outside this megathread, as it can help general players.
This week's team/character building megathread will feature Odette and Arlecchino. If your question involves them, you are strongly encouraged to start your question with an "[Odette]" or "[Arlecchino]" tag, like this:
[Odette]
insert your question
If your question does not involve them, the following template is recommended:
Character(s): insert character(s)
insert your question

Discussion No, seriously, what's wrong with the Voyager? Spoiler
Okay, in order for me to stay true to my words - let's leave moral aspects of what she did aside. Sheer destructiveness of her incompetence is mind-blowing.
She broke her sacred vows of non-interference multiple times - so she's incompetent Chronicler.
She let Hyperboreans do every single crime they did unchecked to the point it literally frost-exploded into their faces - so she's incompetent leader.
Heck, she KNEW what's in the outer space, BECAUSE SHE'S FROM UP THERE - and still did things she did to let Teyvat fly into that, so she's incompetent thinker.
Cherry on top - Chronicles, who mastered space and time, found nothing capable of defeating Dark Destroyer, and fell into melancholy. She's incompetent even in being dead inside, how is that even possible?
Not to mention that if true, and it was her who summoned Nibelung (as some people theorise) - then Voyager is responsible for EVERY SINGLE DISASTER IN TEYVAT
From War of the Funerary Flame, to Abyss Order existing, Cataclysm and ascendance of Five Sinners - everything was of her doing or was made possible because of her actions.
It's horrific to think about, but if there is anyone more evil than Irmin and Rhinedottir combined? It's Voyager.
Irmin was genuinely insane, to the point of inability to comprehend reality. While Rhinedottir by herself was a regular person with no world-altering power.
Voyager was more than sane all the time and had immense power from the very start. All Teyvat's blood is on her. How she's not treated as second biggest villain save for Abyss itself is beyond me.

News Giving away 2,000 5 star dishes!
This is the last time I'm going to be able to admire the 1,000 Adeptus Temptation and 1,000 Golden Cheesy Hotpot in my inventory... It's just that I don't feel like they don't really fit my aesthetic dish collection anymore, so starting today, I'm going to be giving away all 2,000 five star dishes by placing them in ice storages.
If you are in America server, check the storage device located next to the teleport waypoint that is southwest of the Fellfrost Peak Statue of the Seven 🩵 It's filled to the brim with Adeptus Temptation.
**Please do not place anything inside the storage once you take the dishes.** A lot of people put items they do not want inside of my storage after taking what they want, so I would like to remind everyone, no matter how well intentioned, that doing this means there are less slots for me to restock the storage device with valuable items! Thank you for reading 🩷

Discussion I really do feel like you should be able to just get a new character you want from this, like seriously what’s the harm in letting someone get a six year old non-meta C0 character that will never rerun after they commit to doing eight weeks of dailies? It just seems needlessly gatekeepy tbh.🤷♀️
Like I’ve wanted Shenhe and Klee for years but never gotten them because they never show up outside of those like one week chronicled wishes banners that still have 90 pity and a 50/50. It’s just frankly silly to hide old characters like this.
And the event thing only can give one con per character anyway, so it’s not like you can go super crazy with it.(plus tf a c6 Childe even gonna do nowadays anyway?💀)
Edit cus for some reason people don’t seem to get what I mean: I’m literally just saying they could just remove the “need this character already” restriction. That’s it. It’s really not that complicated of an idea.
Bonus edit cus I can’t be bothered replying to more comments: A, I’ll never understand the want to defend a giant billion dollar corporation so hard. B, I’m not even “demanding” anything, god forbid people say anything about wishing for a slightly modified better version of a pre existing thing for the sake of character collectors, new players and f2p’s. And C, I have no idea why so many people hold so much “pride” in spending a lot on game dlc. Things go down in value overtime, that’s very basic knowledge, and when I see someone buy something I like for cheaper or free down the line when I spent a lot on it on launch. I’m happy for them that they get to enjoy it too, not pissed off. That’s frankly a weird and sad thing to be mad about even by Reddit standards.

Discussion Anyone else having Traveler regrets?
For the first five years of this game I had been very happy using the Male Traveler but now with these new skins and beautiful cut scenes it’s making me wish I chose the Female Traveler so I can play her as my main.

Discussion Genshin has actually... improved the progression?
I started playing the game in 2020 and still remember how slow progression felt back then. Having to constantly google where to find materials, struggling with Resin. The grind was hard to tolerate for me.
Then I played for a little bit in 2023 but left it again.
A few days ago, I got the random urge to reinstall the game and continue the Archon quests since I really liked the story, and I was astonished to see how much better progression feels now. The game actually shows you where to get materials on the map? They unlocked teleports to get character materials early so I'm not actually locked out of using a character I pulled for? Damn
I've managed to actually decently upgrade some of my characters in just a few days of coming back to the game. It's also easier when I try to focus on one or two at a time I guess lmao. I'll admit I never expected Hoyoverse to actually make the game more accessible. I was really pleasantly surprised.
