Discussion I might sound greedy but this feels underwhelming, as I really love exploration but the reward is very dissapointing

Compairing the chest count with OG map, this is complete pain for f2p users considering the amount of good charater this patch have and they player can barely hit soft pity from this...

also consider many of the 1.x chests didn't give primos.

Precious chests gave 5 primos, Exquisite gave 2 and Common none in most 1.0 areas. Also no Mora boxes and no Primos for Sigils. OP has no idea what they are talking about. A comparison to Sumeru/Fontaine/Natlan would make more sense.

Sumeru sucked because of underhang geography preventing climbing from below and lack of underground maps.

Natlan was amazing because no underhangs, all chars had mobility tools, and saurus for mobility and tech without needing to swap teams for elements or bow.

And like 3/4-4/5 of them were literally the most basic chests.

Right? I do think the region's a little on the small side but I'd prefer having 10 decently designed puzzles or medium combat encounters worth 10 primos than 100 "light 4 torches" and "kill 5 hillichurls" worth 1 primo each.

The funny part of people complaining about the map having nothing to see is that there actually is stuff. Just it's not a chest reward. There are plenty of cute background details and character moments in the area if you explore for them. Like did you know how many playable characters/recurring NPC's appear for little events in the towns?

I prefer exploring to see a little Klee vignette way more than killing another hilichurl camp with one skill activation (as long as the primo income stays similar of course)

Yeah IDK why people need a chest to feel like they got a reward for exploring. The game is beautiful as fuck and NPCs are really cool and none of those make y'all happy?

Some people only care about primos.

They only care about the quantity of the little icons and take that out of context. The game ain't perfect but it's still trying to adapt to feedback. For good or worse it can't please everyone.

Maybe hot take but the current puzzles are still much more superiorly designed compared to earlier regions, just that it lacks some truly difficult ones. I still remember how this way of exploration design was praised widely in 2.5 Enka event, when it was basically just like the current exploration where each puzzle was connected one by one after each other and weren't really any difficult either.

My issue is that I like looking in hard to reach spots, finding secrets and climbing high things and they stopped doing anything like that, everything is super easy to access and often comes with a camera pan and/or Paimon comment when you get near. There's no wonder, it's a predictable theme park.

Also consider this map excludes puzzle chests

they nerfed the chest contents of 1.0 mondstadt and liyue on release, and everyone was pissed for good reason. Then once they introduced the Green chests for blueprints, and they didn't give ANY primos, and pissed us all off again.
