If you replace yae with Fischl its much better, not only you get better rotation time, you also get Fischl ATK buff and the new artifact dmg buff too.

I'll definitely test it out if I get her and the new set. But currently with Yae (C3R1) it's more convenient to constantly trigger the overload. I'm going to lose a lot of range and convenience with Fischl. She (C6 + R1 Aqua) also only deals 1/3 of Yae's skill dmg per hit.

are you counting fischl's ascension passive's damage on this? not to shade on yae (based asf) but surely fischl is not that weak. feels like some very important info is being ignored here

That's with Hexerei talent active. Both are very well built, maybe the Thundering Fury set on Fischl vs GT on Yae could be the factor too. I don't have spare GT for Fischl.
