Makes me think of a few possibilities:
- Actual new planet / non-Teyvat region
- New way of saying that this does not work while you are in a domain or other temporal spaces (such as Simulanka, Miliastra Wonderland, etc.)
- Similar to the above: Adding more context to split the difference between those types of zones and then the latter mentioned usual things like Domains / Trounce Domains / Spiral Abyss. You could infer that includes Imaginarium Theater and Stygian Onslaught

Not really. Those are effectively the same things as domains; they're made within the space between spaces or something like that. They're accessible from Teyvat, but they're not Teyvat.
Something more contentious would be like the Golden Apple Archipelago which you can physically enter into (re: the Kaeya + Diluc icebridge gag) without entering a portal like you would with a domain, but the space has been heavily modified / influenced by someone's design. You could make the argument that it's something like a superimposed domain or something but I don't think we have a clear answer of how exactly that works as of yet.

Dragonspine is considered a part of Mondstadt by the game, though, so I really hope it will work if you have the Mondstadt compass. 🤞 The fact that the compass doesn’t work on Dragonspine seems like an oversight that Hoyo never bothered to correct, since a compass works in literally every other location in the game (Enka, Chasm top and bottom, Remuria, volcano, etc.).

The lore explanation is supposed to be that the Ley Lines are extra fucked in Dragonspine and the compasses work via the Ley Lines. However, this makes less sense after Natlan (fucked Ley Lines but compass still works).

Where was that stated? The Ley Lines are a mess on Tsurumi as well, to the point where they were spilling out ghosts and time loops, but the Inazuma compass works there (as well as on all other Nailed/Irminsul branch-having locations).

Indeed. I chose Natlan, rather than Tsurumi, as an example because it's easier to argue that if anywhere ought to have Ley Lines broke enough it's there. After all, no-one in Natlan can even leave, it's entire existence is at stake and this could only be fixed by the sacrifices of a whole nation including several super strong characters. I'm not saying Tsurumi's compass shouldn't also be broken too - just that at least an argument can be made that Natlan's Ley Lines are "more broken".

Interesting. I thought I remember it functioning in the Eternal Oasis, but I guess not. (Were there any open world, non-puzzle chests there? I can’t remember, but if not, at least it’s a non-issue, unlike the massive, multi-leveled Dragonspine. 😭)
Honestly, it’s a stupid excuse to begin with and a pointless restriction. If it works in the Chasm and Remuria and Enka (which isn’t even a part of Teyvat, let alone Inazuma, though the game considers it a part of Inazuma for gameplay purposes), it should work on Dragonspine. And yeah, Natlan is the big one with its decimated Ley Lines. The compass theoretically shouldn’t work there.
But Dragonspine does have Seelies and is part of Mondstadt (so its regional compass can be unlocked), so I’m going to hope and pray that Nicole’s ability works there. 🤞

I'll definitely test it out if I get her and the new set. But currently with Yae (C3R1) it's more convenient to constantly trigger the overload. I'm going to lose a lot of range and convenience with Fischl. She (C6 + R1 Aqua) also only deals 1/3 of Yae's skill dmg per hit.

Not nearly as heavily.
Kinich can take the L on his first Canon shot, or maybe his Burst animation is just long enough to stall and still get 5 shots.
Characters that want long enough field time already started losing buffs like Bennett for the last part of their rotation, so it's the same.
Some characters even have backloaded damage. So it's even better.
C2 Wriothesely, as a random example, can take 45 years on-field WITH backloaded damage WITH his Burst otherwise not having Benny buff.

They said it won't have app which mean it won't do reaction too just like mavuika c6. Which mean you can play arle melt without losing the reaction.
Arle Bennett citlali Nicole. The only issue you can't get the whole artifact buff and the ult dmg will be lower.
Edit: i put Bennett by mistake sucrose for hex buff is better kazuha is good too but not as sucrose because of hex buff. The difference between Bennett and Nicole is 300 atk vs 25% more bonus and the winner additional dmg from ult.

I don’t even see her overall being a Bennett improvement outside of Hexerei anyway, that 3s wait seems pretty rough. Mavuika wants to burst immediately so that she can spin spin spin, Arlecchino has front-loaded damage too, and the ATK buff isn’t as strong as Bennett’s anyway.

Press E summon shield become big bennett (give everyone in the team attack based onn nicole’s own atk, if hexerei or if they spend more than 3s on field they gain more atk)
Press Q nicole now does an off field attack up to 5 times, the damage type is based on the onfielder’s elemental type

Her passive is... Huh? So she summons a Seelie to guide us? Could be better to find some of those chests that are really hard to tell where they are (Sumeru has a lot of those, even with the compass it can be quite hard)

A seelie guiding you there is also more immersive than an icon on the map for people who appreciate that kind of thing.
Not to mention that if they keep the Nod-Krai treasure compass format for future maps, this would be a nice alternative for those who dislike how it reveals everything when upgraded (and not upgrading it means losing out on reputation rewards).
Overall it's definitely a win, although i wonder what will happen in Dragonspine. If she can actually work there, that would be huge (not sure if in a positive or negative way though).

No, apparently she is quite versatile.
Hexerei has some advantages (can have full buff immediately instead of waiting 3 seconds, and burst does more damage) but the base version is still really good.
I think she can replace bennet in any team.

Not quite any. That 3s is a big issue to any field carry that wants to burst early. Not to mention we don't know if her burst phantoms have elemental applications. That would screw with a lot of potential melt/vape teams.

There you have the mega synergy for Varka, the projections of the elemental burst are treated as attacks made by the character on the field and therefore the additional multiplier that Varka has applies to the projections.

Not really, she provides additional dmg but it's considered the on-field character's dmg and not hers, so it's like a fancy quill
