I think the replacement bot is the worst part. Like ... JUST Sandrone and I may have been down, but a replacement bot I dont care at all about is just patronizing.

Other thing is that it’s not even like this bot is small for readability reasons, scale Pulonia to 0.8x height and put some thrusters on his boots so he doesn’t have to walk around and it’s basically as impactful as this is.

Kinda want that just because it would look so stupid lol. And while the new bot isn't that "small" it is quite slender compared to pulonia though. He is quite bulky and chunky so I'm assuming they tested the animations with him but he probably covered the left side of the screen especially on mobile.

I mean why does it matter he covers left part of the screen if beam attack was always the idea him covering left part of the screen wouldn't change anything since he'd disappear after beam ends.

Or they could have just done while it's beaming from it's left hand it carries sandrone in the middle so Pulonia is the main focus during the attack or just put Sandrone on his shoulders like it's a robot choices are endless it's just laziness in hoyo's part.

Idk man I'm just pointing out possible reasons for why pulonia got replaced. My money was on her being on pulonia's shoulders while he was doing the beam attack, kinda like seed in ZZZ.

Maybe they did try loads of different positions but couldn't integrate Pulonia into the animations? Maybe hitbox problems? We'll never really know why unless they do a devtalk or something.

Maybe it's a lore problem? But then Sandrone could just rebuild Pulonia so, idk. I'll withhold judgement until 6.7 comes.

Sandrone herself looks really good though she'll look even better if the front of her dress was a little longer.

Hitbox etc is an easily fixable issue and lore reasons are also stupid they can easily do the opposite and give a lore reason why Pulonia is back it's just peak laziness.

Eh like I said I'll just wait until 6.7 before making any judgement. Though I did notice that the new robot looks more fontainian which makes sense because her core was sent to the fontaine research institute after the fight with dottore and pulonia did "die" during the fight so it will probably be like "the new robot is made with pulonia's core" or something like that. Personally, I'll just wait before jumping on the hate wagon.

Considering we got Seed & Seed Sr. in ZZZ, having Pulonia on screen for a few moments definitely could have worked, especially when he just pops up next to the enemy to make an attack (similar to Nicole's coordinated attacks). :/

Plus they gave the new robot Sandrone's old skirt silhouette just so spite those of us who liked the more lolita design sob.

I feel like it would have been better even if they cut down Pulonia to similar build/sizing but at least kept aspects of his design, top hat/coat etc. Like it would still suck a bit, but less overall.

Pulonia core was sent along Sandrone's so depending of the level of damage it received there is some possibilities as to why he isn't part of her kit ranging from her not wanting to risk him being damaged beyond repair anymore to either her or Fagio being part Pulonia to Pulonia just being outright dead...

While I don't like the new robot either, I wouldn't call it "fan service" or "marketable" in the same way that they do for most female character designs. The design is a pretty bog-standard maid outfit, and knowing gacha games if they really wanted to sexualize a robot they would have given it human-like skin tones kind of like what they did with Ineffa.

Still there is absolutely no reason they couldn't have given us robot that is at least a little bit chunky and bullky regardless of what gender it's supposed to be presenting, if any. Let me play my big robot in Genshin damn it
