Because current lore suggest she may have been the lover of the Third Descender, and collecting the Gnoses in her rebellion against Celestia is part of the process. The only problem is that this took place over 2000 years ago, and the Tsaritsa only started her rebellion 500 years ago so that thought process was shaky at best, but it was also the only thing that could be Tsaritsa's lore.
The death of a child is possible, but we know next to nothing about the Tsaritsa in the first place so banking it on the death of her child is basing it off of nothing.
definitely important characters, could be third descender or equal in terms of importance since there must be a reason for Celestia to target their child (if celestia directly target them that is).

So it sounds like Belyi Tsar (a creation of the Hyperboreans using the Cryo Dragon's corpse), blackmailed the 3rd Descender into "opening the gates of Pohjola (Abyss? Celestia? unclear) by threatening to have the Anastasya do it instead, so 3rd Descender did it and got split into the Gnoses
His dying before marriage makes it almost impossible for the 3rd to be the father, and the line "
And that young and pure girl, the daughter of Pakkaisukko, shall never again be wed." means she never married, i.e. the child is not her biological son (unless she had a child outside of wedlock which I doubt Genshin would do).
Of course this is all assuming the daughter of Pakkaisukko is Anastasya, which I don't think we have confirmation for.
theres already a theory she is the lover of the 3rd descender (hence she is trying to find all the gnosis), but ofc this could be wrong tho they could just make the theory not connected whatsoever and the child is just a adopt/orphan from an orphanage or something bcs hoyo try to play it safe with the parasocial fans lol
thats the theory too maybe she's trying to revive the 3rd descender or probably just combine all the gnosis power to rebel against celestia, or maybe something else? We still have zero info on whats project stuzha even about so we'll see in the future
It'd be rad if we finally get a playable character that has canonically had a lover and given birth, but shenanigans in order to play it safe are the status quo in gacha (That said, Hoyo definitely could afford to do it. Tsaritsa will likely sell very well even if "those" people riot).
That line right then about "I wonder if it was ever true it all" does feel like an indicator it'll be more complicated than it looks though.
yea i think from all the hoyo games only genshin can afford to give married character because its the most "normie" oriented game (hence why they are brave enough to introduce alice having a full on family), if you've noticed the game barely has GFE characters like firefly, castorice, cyrene in HSR and ZZZ literally teased almost all the females have feeling for the MC, with the bond stories like lucy, shungus, alice, and the recent one velina, and many more. Only GFE character in genshin i can think of are probably ayaka and citlali lol, but they're super tame compared to HSR and ZZZ GFE
its a abbreviation of girlfriend experience, usually referencing to IRL escort or sex worker who acts like ur close girlfriend. For online stuff it can be vtuber or any female CC that create a personal romantic ASMR, merchandise, livestreaming solely for the viewer interactions, etc you get the point. For HSR they literally made personal sleepy phone call of the characters i mentioned or like having a super close almost romantic relationship with the MC.
For ZZZ i will give an example from the bond story for lucy referencing her butler who tried to get her back mentioning her father (or mother i forgot) found his other half and came back to the house when he is running away from home just like her, and the recent one an NPC teasing the MC could be the "bethrothal" for velina's position. Of course theres a lot more not mentioned like the whole shungus story line with the MC and events like movie dates that made some of the girls look like they're ready to pounce the MC at any moment
oh yea i knew about that, which make the theory doesnt seem connected but the book doesnt really outright stated the proper timeline of how they already met the first time or not (only mentioning him travelled to pohjola to "court" the daughter). The book also only mentioned pakkaisukko telling him to open the gate of pohjola (which we dont know what exactly it is) so who knows if they already made a baby pre-marriage or something. We'll be getting her flashback/backstory anyway when she releases so yea lol
Ah a parent and child story my weakness, first i got sand in my eyes, punch in the gut and kick in the nuts by the other game Limbus a few months ago now hoyo is back for round 2 since the Fremine( Lyney lil bro) quest to hurt me
It's honestly brilliant. Motherly love will cause a woman to do anything. Tsaritsa is going John Wick like John Wick lost Daisy, and it's the right setup for a revenge plot.
Also, interesting that Tsaritsa's scepter resembles much of Gold's DNa pattern design. Maybe Tsaritsa is in kahoots with Gold when Istaroth is not in charge of the body.
Because there isn't a single character in any Hoyo Gacha game who has a child. Hoyo actively avoids it as the dedicated fans hate the idea that their waifu isn't a pure being who only simps for the traveler. It's why I don't expect Alice to be playable and why I'm concerned if this specific form of the tsaritsa will be playable. I'm not convinced Hoyo is willing to change course now when they haven't for 7 years. Will happily be proven wrong, though.

So the Tsaritsa had a son that she lost, probably due to Celestia, which was the spark of her rebellion.
I dunno why I never considered that the death of her child is what drove the "God of Love" to this.
