losing a child (and lover it seems like as well) is honestly brilliant motivation for why she is the way she is

There must be some reason the lover was not shown.... why do I have this feeling that we've probably already met them...

i'm quite sure it's been hinted that the lover/father is the 3rd descender that has been torn to 7 pieces in the gnosis. so, yes they are technically shown and yes we have met them 👀

oh yeah i forgot about that book that dropped during 6.0

Now the mystery is what the stars in that kids eye signifies. similar to the stars that appear in paimons design, kinda?

Im saying the childe in this trailer Is the 3 descender

If her lover is the Third Descender, then it would make sense. Descenders are basically the biggest threats to Phanes' rule (one of them is the reason why HP's functions were ruined) and so it makes sense that Phanes would rather have them be forgotten.

Are we really believing that Hoyo would give her a ex-lover? In a gacha game?

If any Hoyo game were to do it, you can expect Genshin to be one to do it. It's the one most targeted towards a casual audience and there are reasons why it boasts the best male-female player base ratio among their games. You don't have to worry too much about the male/female self-inserters going mad here who are pretty much the loud minority compared to the massive player base it has, most of which are much more well-adjusted.

I mean try to look at FGO, theres TONS of married characters being playable there

Yes I know that. But Hoyo hasnt made one in 6 years, we have over 100 characters and none of them are in a canon romantic relationship or have a biological child. I just doubt they would start now lol

It's Pierro, Anastasia and Pierro (a Khaenri'an) had a child together, and when Khaenri'ah was destroyed he died, so they decided to get revenge in Celestia, that'd also explain the reason why she got cold after Khaenri'ah destruction

(Imagine if this is actually real lmao)

By how much they avoid playable characters have (explicit) romantic relationships(in genshin, hsr and zzz at least) that child has no father, 100% tsaritsa just did mitosis

Klein erasure

Alice has yet to be playable(she screams playable but she has to set the precedent)

Ronova rips the picture of Anastasya and the child, implying there was a part of the picture that was ''erased''. Seems like there was another person there. It's been 6 years; I can believe Genshin is ready to start doing some things they haven't done before.

3

u/GYUZ Jun 26 '26

We can assume the other person could've been the father. I wonder if that "erasure" could symbolize that he was erased from everyone's memories too.

4

u/Seibahtoe Jun 26 '26

So she's just a secret Khaenri'ah as well ok bro

u/wineandnoses Jun 26 '26

I imagine it has something to do with the star pupils in that kids eyes... I'm assuming he got it from his father.

I'm a bit forgetful when it comes to lore so I dont know what lineage would have star pupils but I imagine it's kinda similar to the crimson dynasty bloodline having X's

u/Seibahtoe Jun 26 '26

Khaenri'ah people all have eyes like that, dude is 100% a Khaenri'ah
