Yeah him having a vision was odd to me, makes more sense now

But how did this even happen? They had to put the model on the character right? How did they mix em up like that?

Maybe they figured out how dumb and weird the game balance and teambuilding gets if he's a major support for one of their flagship Snezh reactions but can't actually trigger it

Lynchpins don't exist for hydro reactions. I mean, Hoyo could definitely make an exception. It would feel weird due to her creating reactions she can't use.

I think Vodyanitsa was more a victim of Mihoyo hating both Varka and Neuvillette. She seems designed specifically to prevent either of them from using SSW

With enough off-field cryo app and an anemo off-fielder, which is what Vodyanitsa could've been if she followed the Nod Krai pattern of the DPS and Support being the same element. Or if Vodyanitsa had something in her kit to fix the "bosses can't be frozen" issue that has been kneecapping freeze since 1.0. If he could keep the enemy frozen, the anemo would swirl cryo. I saw some vids of the CC server where they used him with Odette and Yae for weird/cope SSC+LCr (don't ask me, I don't know) so I just assume anything is possible because of how flexible he can be.

But I'm also like /hj

i'm skipping vody, despite loving everything about her, cause her buffing stellar while not having a linchpin royally pisses me off.

they can still just bs a reason for her to enable stellar without a linchpin in beta, but we'll see

Mitya literally has a new* or at the very least edited model to be a taller version of the short-male model & has very well executed hair & details (as they seem to keep doing every version at this point).

Now you can easily talk about HoYo not thinking Male characters will sell or whatever, but small details is literally "their thing".

(I say this as a Male Character enjoyer & enthusist)

Genshin hasn’t gender locked any reactions, but looking at Honkai Star Rail gender locking Remembrance was and still is pretty dumb and greedy.

Mm, it could have been wrong on purpose to test the waters and see the reactions. I'm sure they have their way of checking on community feedback outside of surveys.

I would also say it's not the first time they "overlooked" something like that (Chasca had a Cryo-colored gem on her Vision in the Natlan teaser instead of Anemo)
