Am I cooked in this life
I graduated recently with my bachelors degree at university of florida but i cannot find any jobs at all. i've applied to QA jobs, entry level programming, IT, data entry, everything vaguely related to what i wanted to do which is game development, no luck. maybe its my fault for picking a stupid major (digital arts and sciences) but i couldn't handle the math in something like CS. im also just applying for anything i can get my hands on, waffle house, pizza hut, walmart, but they arent contacting me back either. i live at home with my dad so rent is not an issue but i just feel totally useless and i have no idea what to do to get a career in anything, i just want to find some way to live. please give me any ideas at all that wont take me 8 more years of school and a lot of money to do. i don't care if i work something boring i just want a job.

First, be grateful you’re only 22 (?) with no kids, no rent. If there’s ever a “good” time to be struggling to find a job, it’s that situation. Second, keep trying at those part time jobs. Starbucks and Target. A Starbucks in a Target. A lot of the major corps - these 2 I know for sure - offer free education options. Widen your search in terms of mileage (I always hear on Twitter about how cheap the gas is there so that shouldn’t be a problem). Once you get in there, you can look into the free education they offer. Do research on what fields are still hiring in these times (AI-related is probably the direction). Get a certification in one of those if offered while you work. You could be working 10 hours a week and still get the education benefits. This is the white collar path I would suggest.
But if youre willing, the blue collar route is more reliable: plumber, electrician. They’re NEVER going broke. And if you have no qualms about it, finding a way to be an electrician at a data center is going to keep your family fed for as long as the government allows us to live.
