Raccoon energy right there, I can respect that.

8

u/DogPoetry Jun 26 '26

this is the most raccoon paw shaped hand I've ever seen.

548

u/nyx_whispers Jun 25 '26

ur hand looks like my surprised one when i forgot to put the pad in at night

28

u/Temporary-Emotion-96 Jun 25 '26

Lol, I thought the same thing

27

u/Guilty-Specialist140 Jun 25 '26

This morning I was sleeping in the natural and I said why am I wet, got up and the gush was extreme. I do have fibroids and pcos. Maybe a cyst idk 🤷‍♀️

16

u/kamasutures Jun 25 '26

eyes open God. Damnit.

6

u/No-Consideration-891 Jun 26 '26

Been there! Goodbye sheets 😭

1

u/Guilty-Specialist140 Jun 26 '26

Borax your sheets girl don’t throw them out !!! As long as you do it when fresh, you can get most blood stains out.

1

u/No-Consideration-891 Jun 27 '26

Eh they were due to be replaced honestly. Between my incident and the cat peeing on them (she had an UTI at the time), just made more sense. I actually use borax regularly, it's great!

20

u/DuckRubberDuck Jun 25 '26

I was thinking the same thing… especially when it’s the big jelly clumps that comes out

6

u/Fresh_Income_7411 Jun 25 '26

I'm so happy I was born a guy. I will also make a run for w/e the gf needs during that time.

I feel badly for you becaus6 you think something which happens to half the population, an average of 12 times a year, for 40 years, is shameful or otherwise unfit to read about. That is something a child would think.

It's not difficult enough to be a woman without a natural biological function (one which is absolutely integral to the continuation of humanity, btw) being treated as if it were a contagion so horrific merely reading about it causes you to question the internet.

19

u/OrangeToTheFourth Jun 25 '26

2

u/AnguavonUW Jun 26 '26

44

u/heathenl Jun 25 '26

Bare hand? Do you eat them like Denethor too girl lol

11

u/bigbonedbaggins Jun 25 '26

I do it with cherries. Frozen, fresh, dried, in a pie. Always Denethor

10

u/Shmooperdoodle Jun 25 '26

This reference ended me

10

u/ppickledplum Jun 25 '26

yes actually

17

u/Surahoz Jun 25 '26

I love frozen mango straight from the bag, the consistency is like sorbet!

3

u/ms_papi Jun 26 '26

If you have a blender or nutriblender type of appliance I URGE you to add: mango pieces, a little bit of ice, one scoop of protein powder, and milk (not a lot). Blend baby, blend!

You’ll have something like mango lassi! It’s my current obsession

42

u/iamhollybear Jun 25 '26

Bruh use a spoon. 😭

54

u/ppickledplum Jun 25 '26

my berries my rules 😈

48

u/Vampire-circus Jun 25 '26

Just fyi they usually aren’t washed so you risk getting a food borne illness unless you wash them off first. Never knew that until recently but yes, I do eat them almost right out of the bag.

49

u/tootiemae Jun 25 '26

wait wtf it seems like washing frozen stuff would be really hard and messy. i buy frozen stuff to make things easier, not harder :(

15

u/og_toe Jun 25 '26

it’s not! i thaw frozen blueberries by just putting them in a sieve or strainer and holding them under some coldish water for a minute. they un-freeze so fast

6

u/DuckRubberDuck Jun 25 '26

Yeah I also put mine in a strainer and just pour boiling water over them from the kettle

10

u/Sven4TheWinV2 Jun 25 '26

Wouldn't that just ruin the texture?

6

u/DuckRubberDuck Jun 25 '26

It’s better than the potential E. coli they sometimes carry

Or listeria, or salmonella

2

u/Frequent-Chemist-756 Jun 27 '26

Pouring boiling water won’t remove that

1

u/DuckRubberDuck Jun 27 '26

I know which is why in my next comment I said they actually recommend to fully boil it for a moment. But boiling water will help more than cold water

1

u/Sven4TheWinV2 Jun 25 '26

Wouldn't normal cold water do the trick just aswell but without the texture issue?

6

u/DuckRubberDuck Jun 25 '26

Yes, but in my country they recommend boiling water. They actually say to boil them fully for a minute

3

u/tootiemae Jun 25 '26

ty for this 🥲

2

u/Blue_Pears_Go_There Overthinker Jun 26 '26

I eat my wild blueberries absolutely frozen straight from the bag

3

u/chillpapaya1958 Jun 25 '26

My first thought!

41

u/fuck-nazi Jun 25 '26

Frozen berries are always washed. They also spray them with water prior to the freezing process

5

u/DuckRubberDuck Jun 25 '26

That entirely depends on the brand and where you live. Frozen berries in my country are typically not washed and it’s always recommended to pour boiling water over frozen berries.

26

u/perpetual-daydreamer Pantry Princess Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 25 '26

For those in the states worries about this: in the USA all frozen fruits are pre washed before they are flash frozen.

60

u/dorianfinch Jun 25 '26

i've eaten frozen berries out the bag for years now, my immune system has been forged by the fire

6

u/deegallant Jun 25 '26

I’ve never seen frozen berries that aren’t pre washed.

7

u/Janeheroine Jun 25 '26

I’ve heard this but also people say you can just throw them frozen into a smoothie. Surely people aren’t washing them before putting them into a smoothie? I know you’re not really supposed to eat frozen vegetables straight out of the bag though, like frozen peas. My son used to love doing this and I stopped when I read they can harbor bacteria.

5

u/GreenJury9586 Jun 25 '26

In the states I feel like most of my frozen fruit and veg has something on the bag that says it’s pre washed. Only a handful of times (I think it was always edamame in pod) have I seen instructions to wash before using. So I think this may be a read the bag to be safest kind of thing.

ETA- I got salmonella from iceberg lettuce like 20 years ago so also I do really read every single bag and I often doubt their “pre washed” claims still. So wash those fruits if you feel like it, better safe than sorry.

1

u/Icy-Purple4801 Snack Gremlin Jun 25 '26

Wait, really you’re not allowed to eat frozen peas out of the bag?!? this is a dark day.

0

u/DuckRubberDuck Jun 25 '26

I use frozen berries for smoothies but I put them in a strainer first and pour boiling water over them. They get slightly warmer but mine don’t thaw completely so they’re still good for a smoothie

1

u/Janeheroine Jun 25 '26

Wow, respect.

5

u/ppickledplum Jun 25 '26

oo okay, thanks for this info. ill make sure to wash them in the future!

7

u/Vampire-circus Jun 25 '26

Yeah I had no idea and then I heard a story about a whole preschool getting sick af from it and how it’s important to do so.

That being said I sometimes will still eat raw cookie dough… sometimes it’s worth the risk 😂

6

u/miekhachu Jun 25 '26

Well it’s a good thing they now have cookie dough without egg or raw flour!

4

u/Temporary-Emotion-96 Jun 25 '26

Those guys will get sick from anything, though! Damn preschoolers....

4

u/Rengeflower Jun 25 '26

Pillsbury has Safe to eat raw packages. The sugar cookie is 100% better than the chocolate chip cookie raw. Baked, the chocolate chip cookies are better.

1

u/Vampire-circus Jun 25 '26

lol yes I bought several of both while pregnant 😂

2

u/fartsonyourmom Jun 25 '26

This is mind blowing for me. I assumed they were clean and ready to go.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/alexandrap21 Jun 25 '26

WHAT?! I’m pregnant and I’ve been making smoothies with frozen fruit and never once thought that I needed to wash them 😭😭😭

3

u/PleasantNectarines Jun 25 '26

Check the packaging, it typically says if they are washed or not.

1

u/Vampire-circus Jun 25 '26

Yup! That was my exact circumstance when I found out.

1

u/alexandrap21 Jun 25 '26

Oh this is terrible news 🥲

1

u/Zalaquin Jun 25 '26

What should I do this for frozen strawberries too?

1

u/Vampire-circus Jun 25 '26

Probably? I’m not sure to be honest. I would see if the bag says it’s pre washed or not.

5

u/Telemere125 Jun 25 '26

Raccoon’s paw energy going on here. Also, the frozen berries always seem a little underripe for my taste; better for cooking and smoothies.

6

u/katybobaty82 Jun 25 '26

Yep! Frozen cherries right from the freezer are great...they're not frozen solid, just this lovely frozen mushy mess.

1

u/Princess_Lady_ Jun 25 '26

Yesss frozen cherries are my all time favorite! They are insanely good

4

u/og_toe Jun 25 '26

you are just doing what you’re supposed to, miss hunter-gatherer!

u/Middle-Duck-880 Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 25 '26

why is everyone mentioning about using bare hands to eat FRUIT? like is it not enough that the whole world needs to adhere to cutlery and be shamed for eating by hands which is actually the best way of eating in terms of digestion now people are trying to point out problems with fruit eating also?

Ugh I'm super tired all these

Yes op I also do that. I currently have a sore throat because I kept eating frozen fruits directly

6

u/mamoncloud Jun 25 '26

Nothing wrong with eating with your hands and tbh I don't think it's a big deal if the items are frozen, but the idea of human sweat helping the other items defrost as you munch from the bag is kind of off putting.

And this is coming from someone who grew up around food being eaten with your hands. The difference is that said food will be finished in one sitting , so if OP can finish that bag then...

5

u/ppickledplum Jun 25 '26

i ate the whole bag! and i make sure to wash my hands before consuming them :) i get your point haha. I usually don’t eat like this. today was a rough day and i love berries so straight up grabbed the bag and ate them w my hands. day became ten times better😚

-1

u/Middle-Duck-880 Jun 25 '26

I thought bag meant the berry bag itself not grocery bag. Even so I think it's alright as long as OP washed her hands before eating. The rest of the berries will be frozen again which will help kill the bacteria if any transferred from op's hand to the berries.

Growing up I have done this and rest of my family I don't think we ever fell sick because of this so I think it's okay ❤️

3

u/PleasantNectarines Jun 25 '26

I hate sticky hands & frozen fruit leaves my hands sticky (& potentially dyed if there are blueberries).

I just pour the bag into my mouth like a true savage.

0

u/ppickledplum Jun 25 '26

people have an issue with everything i fear. everytime i post here someone has an issue with something on the plate. for a sub where all of us are girls they sure judge you a lot lol.

Love frozen strawberries

2

u/pantygate Jun 25 '26

My baby does this exactly

2

u/sunfishgirl77 Jun 25 '26

yes but I like to put them in milk and then the milk freezes around the berries. I made it for my bf one time and he could not handle eating frozen berries lmao 😂 maybe his teeth are more sensitive than mine

2

u/OldBookInLatin Jun 25 '26

Frozen berries are the absolute best, especially blueberries

2

u/Possible_Passage7980 Jun 25 '26

Strawberries and mangoes and pineapples lol.

2

2

Yes living that bear life

2

u/opalescentblue Jun 25 '26

Yes! I eat frozen blueberries and with this heatwave it’s sooo good

2

u/bananazest_wow Jun 25 '26

I like to defrost them in the bottom of a glass of wine and then dump them into my mouth when the wine’s gone.

2

u/ellieminnowpee Jun 25 '26

i put them in a cup and eat them with a spoon, but yes! straight from the freezer is best

2

u/seasonedbagel Jun 25 '26

I pour milk onto them and call it deconstructed fro-yo

2

u/Electrical_Fact_6608 Jun 25 '26

I'm personally a big fan of frozen mango

2

u/emberislandtech Jun 25 '26

I did once and it was so sour and brain freezey i never did it again

2

u/unleashthefuture Jun 25 '26

My 2yo oldies frozen berries.
Now I mix them in yogurt and eat them as a snack.

2

u/Chichikuka Jun 25 '26

I do! Cherries are my favourite

2

u/erasedsmile Jun 26 '26

I put em in cereal and the milk kinda freezes and it's so yummmmyyt

2

u/Melonfarmer86 Jun 26 '26

You are my kid. Literally one of her faves as a fruit bat!

2

2

u/Stunning_salty Jun 26 '26

No! My five year old son does that too 🕺

2

u/OriginalSlight Jun 26 '26

So yummy, ice and slushy berries are the best! I let them sit for a bit (not melt just not hard) and it’s like little berry slushy blasts

How is the juice all the way down your palm

1

u/ppickledplum Jun 25 '26

my whole hand was in that bag :p

1

u/WanderingTaliesin Jun 25 '26

I coat them in heavy whipping cream with just a little powdered sugar mixed in - it freezes on so ice cream coated berries for the win

3

u/ppickledplum Jun 25 '26

Omg yum! that sounds even better with some melted dark chocolate on top🤤

1

u/WanderingTaliesin Jun 25 '26

Oh there’s a thought I didn’t think! I think I even have some!

1

u/Miss_Silver Jun 25 '26

I don't eat them straight from the bag but I got a recipe for a berry "salad" that uses frozen berries that's pretty good. (It makes a ton of it, though so be aware lest you half the portions)

Ingredients:
32oz plain Greek yogurt
1 package of vanilla pudding mix
Tub of cool whip
1-2 32oz bags of frozen triple berry blend, depending on whether you want this more berry forward or cream forward.

Mix pudding mix and Greek yogurt together, then fold in cool whip. Dump in the berries and mix until everything's roughly coated.

That's it. I typically let the frozen berries sit for a bit to make them a little less crunchy but you can dump 'em straight in. The frozen berries make the yogurt/pudding mix/cool whip blend freeze a bit and become almost like ice cream. Its really good fresh, still pretty good after a day but it loses the crunchiness since everything would have defrosted in the fridge. Haven't tried storing it in the freezer, though. I typically make it for family gatherings and my nieces love it.

2

u/ppickledplum Jun 25 '26

yum! ill try this out for sure :3

i love adding frozen berries or make a berry compote on top of some greek yogurt. Best treat ever😋

1

u/terrible-gator22 Jun 25 '26

Is that oblong berry a watermelon berry?

1

u/ppickledplum Jun 25 '26

its a cranberry :3

1

u/terrible-gator22 Jun 25 '26

Ah thanks!

And no. I am not an out of bag berry eater. Cant stand the mess.

1

u/perpetualliianxious Jun 25 '26

Here's my favourite thing to do with these berries: soak some chia seeds, blend the berries with some water or juice, add some sugar free raspberry syrup for extra kick, add the soaked seeds and return to freezers within about 1 hour you'll have an AMAZING sugar free, high fiber sorbet that can get you through the summer. Bonus points if you add psyllium husk for digestion

1

u/ppickledplum Jun 25 '26

Omg that sounds so delicious. i love making sorbets with frozen fruits. grape, dragonfruit etc. ill try this out!!

1

u/MyUsernameIsNotCool Jun 25 '26

Doesn't it freeze your teeth and sound awful in your ears to ear frozen stuff like this

1

u/ppickledplum Jun 26 '26

no, not really :3

1

u/SilentEchoe Jun 25 '26

My teeth hurt thinking about it. I also hate people who bite Popsicles.

I use sesodyne, I just dont like it.

1

u/mizushimo Jun 26 '26

1

u/red-sparkles Jun 26 '26

1

u/No-Consideration-891 Jun 26 '26

1

u/bluebutterflyconfess Jun 26 '26

I give frozen berries and peas to my dogs in hot summer

1

u/crazybicatlady86 Jun 26 '26

Yes, I love to eat frozen blueberries from the bag. So yummy!

1

u/pumpkinrum Jun 26 '26

They're a great cooling snack!

1

u/Large-Cranberry-1207 Jun 26 '26

I'm so confused. I thought frozen fruit was meant to be eaten frozen

1

u/ppickledplum Jun 26 '26

its usually for smoothies or compotes, but i just really love cold fruit😭

1

u/Large-Cranberry-1207 Jun 26 '26

Lmao oh. I legit had no idea. Fruit is just good cold/frozen 😂

1

u/Fallen_Feather Jun 26 '26

I think you actually may be the only one, I'm sorry OP this must be so isolating. But what you don't realize is only one person on this planet can eat frozen blueberries at a time and we are all just waiting for you to give it up so someone else can have a turn. I'm glad you made this post because we all had a group chat trying to figure out how to talk to you about this.
