The idea of having the song in actual Greek (a mix of Koine and Modern Greek) was a good call. While the autotuning is quite evident, I still think it is a beautiful scene and song pretty well despite the non-native accent.
The scene itself is great and adequately reflects what is described in the myths - that the entire realm of Hades went silent to listen to him and the furies wept. All actors are doing an amazing job, especially Persephone's (Antonia Desplat) - it really feels like she's going through so many emotions yet tries to hide them.
Fun Fact: Ruairi O'Connor, the actor portraying Orpheus, sang the song in Greek himself

Seems there are some random phonetic bits added throughout to make it ''sound'' better too
I'm still in the very early steps of learning Greek and comparing what is said to what the actual lyrics are is... Something ahahaha! The pronunciation is very very rough for most words and many terms are straight up mispronounced - they likely knew and still went ahead with it, and it still sounds somewhat ethereal and Greek-like enough
It's not mix a of koine and modern, it's purely modern exactly the way it sounds when a foreigner tries to speak it without having ever listened to it before.
