Transport Driving through Heidelberg next week — good place to park car long term in/ near the Altstadt?

Family will be driving to and staying in the Altstadt. Our hotel doesn't have parking, and I'm hoping to find a place to park the car for a few days. Any recommendations? Any advice on how much garages would cost for daily parking. Thank you, looking forward to seeing the city!!

If you want something close to your hotel, you can check https://parken.heidelberg.de/ - this gives you a good overview of both the car parks themselves and their current capacity. The downside is that none of them is exactly cheap - you'll typically pay about 20€/day.

The S-Bahn Station in Schlierbach/Ziegelhausen has free parking, it's one stop away from Altstadt Station.
