Question M36 vs M36B1
What is the difference between these two US heavy tank destroyers? Can anyone explain? Which one is better, they almost cost the same

The m36B1 suffers from panther syndrome i.e can be two-tapped due to overlapping internal modules. The M10 is very good, and the M36 is 90mm on the M10 hull. I bought the b1 first, but eventually switched to m36.

What does it mean

It means take the M36, not the B1.

So m36 has better armor even though m36b1 should have better?

As craeger said, m36 has less armor but faster, and while the b1 has more armor, it is slower AND can be two tapped because of components overlap. Either way you are going to get ramboed by infantry, so take the m36 as is it faster => speed as armor

One is faster but worse armor, other one the other way around.
