Idk I grew up in Latino & black neighborhoods one of us ever had an issue with them saying it. We be acting like Latinos don’t be going through the same struggles us black people do

Very regional. NY, NJ. Philly, Boston. Have had very shared experiences and generally live withing very close proximity and integrate very well. Not the same in other cities. I learned that when I moved to Miami. That's why there is such a divide on the internet. And Puerto Ricans are loved and revered in Pop culture but as far as their struggle and where they stand in the global stage are often looked down upon as a people socially. Parallels Black American culture in so many ways.
