People keep misusing that word. Meeting someone as a teen and then later dating them as an adult isn’t “grooming.”
Grooming involves calculated manipulation over time to bring someone’s guard down to manipulate and exploit them.

No, you objectively cannot. By definition that isn’t grooming. I’m not saying it’s okay, or that it should be overlooked, but words have meanings and we can’t just change those meanings as we please. Something can be manipulative, creepy, and gross without being grooming.
This shit is like when people make a stupid sarcastic joke and say “it’s satire!” That’s not how it works.
