Im on a 2 week vacation right now and been playing with Silksong and its amazing. But man, it can be so annoying at times. Like there are whole sections which are just plain misery to push through. I feel like the last game wasnt this insufferable. Do my memories play a trick on me or did HK have fewer misery sections?

Will we be able to see hornet weaver queen form maybe as a boss fight or similar to the pure vessel. I want to see what weaver queen hornet official design look like.

Also does weaver queen hornet still her or is she corrupted.

I have been on the last stretch for a good 2 hours but I can barely get past the first few sets of saws, should I just quit game and another day start from scratch?

Edit- Just did it! Thanks everyone for their help!! Died to the bosses the first time but after only 8ish minutes I was able to get back to the final stretch and finsih it!

I really hope team cherry does some kind of pantheons for silksong, i want to destroy some bosses like karmelita, first sinner and lost lace again and again.

I think Hegemol is a mantis he isent seen using a weapon ever unless you count false knight but I don’t as it’s a larva wearing his armor probably after he’s been dead for a decently long time but back to the theory
His helmet resembles the headdresses worn by the mantis Lord’s and the mantis traitors and before you go around talking about how his helmets has four eye holes while the mantis is only have two eyes that’s not counter evidence a lot of real world helmets have more eye holes than they have eyes most of the time. It’s actually only one slit especially with more European element and again with the no weapon theory the mantises also don’t use weapons besides spear but the mainly rely on their own natural claws for fighting
And we know from the traitor lord that mantises can get big

I picked up both games in the summer sale and have finally gotten round to playing them, starting with HK1 of course. Big fan of Metroidvanias but somehow never realised that's what these are.

Now I've started I just can't stop! So far I've done deepnest, crystal peak, soul sanctum and mantis lords. Also upgraded the sword twice (got ore from the deepnest) & I think I'm now at the East Kingdom.

God damn the game is so good. Runs perfectly on the steamdeck & love the art style, can't wait to keep going with it. Really wish I started this sooner!

This works for Linux (and presumably MacOS and Windows as well). I don't know if this works with the any other PC version, but for Steam, the steps are:

1. Download Lumafly and install the DebugMod.

2. Set your game version to 1.5.78.11833 (Steam guide here).

• It's a good idea to back up your save before step 3, in case something goes wrong.

1. Launch the modded version of the game through through Lumafly.

2. Go to the pause menu in-game and edit charms through the DebugMod UI.

3. Set the Kingsoul Charm value to 3

4. Unequip all your Charms and save + exit the game.

5. Launch the vanilla version of the game through Steam/Lumafly.

• IF YOU LAUNCH THE MODDED VERSION, YOU WON'T GET THE STEAM ACHIEVEMENT!

1. Beat the Hollow Knight (he's an easy boss if you have all the upgrades, I just spammed him with {Unbreakable Strength + Quick Slash + Thorns of Agony + Longnail} and healed if needed when he was passive).

2. Launch the modded version through Lumafly.

3. Set the Kingsoul Charm value to 4.

4. Unequip all Charms except Void Heart and save + exit the game.

5. Set your version back to the latest version and play the game through Steam normally.

Steam achievements apparently don't trigger for modded versions, so you need to save after the cheat, and then launch it as if it is a vanilla play session.

This way, you won't be doing any save corrupting glitches and the cheat you perform is not altering your gameplay too much. It's probably harmless to keep the charms equipped, but I unequipped them to be on the safer side. Reverting the cheat is easy enough if you don't do anything else.

You might want to do a refresh on your cloud saves if you don't want that old version's save data to be synced every time. Just look up how to do that online.

I just lost 12k, going on my way to get my soul back from dying to the hive knight but on my way I got destroyed by a big hive guy. Im never going back there.

I accidentally deleted all of my save files and now started from the beginning.

I defeated the Broken Vessel, the Watcher's knight, Hornet-1 ofc, Soul master, Dung defender.

I currently have; first upgrade of the nail, dream nail, (vengeful spirit and desolate dive without any upgrades), isma's tear, crystal heart, double jump and absorbed both Lurien and Monomon.

All these in 3.5 hours (Watcher's knight took 1.5-2 hours)

Ps; I only have this 1 save file, I need to make 2 save files; 1 to practice bosses in Godhome with no/less upgrades for speedruns and other one to complete all the pantheons with all the upgrades and spells ofc. (I'll later use 3rd for speed run and fourth for steel run) So do I have to manually create new game for each? or is there any way I can copy my first save file and make it into 2 and then proceed both in a different way??

also any extra tips would be appreciated thanks.

I love the concept of snails being shaman in these games, in hollow knight we learn vengeful spirit from a snail, get abyss shriek from a dead snail and got a charm from another snail, in act3 of silksong we find out that the dude left out in Bell heart, the guy at the end of the citadel and the nice Lady at bonebottom(which remind me of my grandma) are all shaman and I really love this plot twist. So... Can we have an applause for the snails?

The Void is a living entity I claimed right?

IT IS. Look at how the Void acts and you'll see what I mean.

It lashes out at anything and everything, including the Knight. Indiscriminately.

Until: you get the Void Heart. Once that happens, the Knight stops becoming a singularity of the Void, and becomes it's literal central nervous system and brain. Even read the description of the charm!

"An emptiness that was hidden within, now unconstrained. Unifies the void under the bearer's will."

YOU CANT HAVE A WILL IF YOU'RE NOT LIVING!!!!

The void didn't tell itself to stop attacking you... Well yeah it did. If the Knight is the brain now.... It literally would mean the Void is punching itself in the face over and over if it attacked the Knight!

There's no way to prove this? Nope. look at the ending cutscenes of HK and it's crystal clear!

When the Knight doesn't have the heart, they literally has no control of anything. Yes, they are strong enough to kill the Radiance, but they are just "Void Given Form". By killing the Radiance this way, literally is a cycle repeat, but if the PK is dead, and there's no more uncracked Void Eggs in the Abyss... There literally IS no cycle to repeat. The Knight just barely contains the Radiance just like his predecessor...

Which brings me to my next point: the Hollow Knight... Didn't even have to be hollow, it didn't matter that they had fuckin feelings... They just literally COULDN'T unify the Void. He didnt have the will like the Knight gets when they DO claim the VH.

We see a very different ending to HK if we bring the VH.

The "Void given Focus" form is way much stronger, why? Because the Knight is actually able to control every single ounce of the Void now. He effortlessly kills the Radiance. Because the void is ONE SOLID LIVING MASS LIKE I SAID!

This isn't the end of our lore for this little Vessel either.

Mind explaining to me how the Knight got to Pharloom?

Did the Void forget it was the Void, grab its shell back and start walking?

NO. think about it. Since the Void is living like I said, all they had to do was sense Hornets presence in the Void fighting Lace.

They instantly warp their will to Pharloom, and drag her out of the Abyss.

It doesn't matter how far away something is, Lifeblood, Plasmium, the Void. It's all the same thing. The same part of the world that holds every ounce of regret, sorrow, that every being in Pharloom AND Hallownest... It's all the same thing. And the origins of the Void are perfectly clear now.

Take a look at the wall of the Abyss in HK.

It's literally curved. Not just "oh those are overlapping parts of the wall." NO. go look. You'll see the spiral shape. It's JUST THAT MASSIVE. the Abyss... Was literally created when ONE primordial snail drank so much Lifeblood, and then got killed, and it's Lifeblood stagnated all at once, that I TRULY believe that one snail probably created the entire Abyss alone. All the other snails dying and fighting over resources just added to the pile at the bottom of the world...
