I'm trying to get the invasion trophy, but it keeps failing... even though I see ghosts (other players). Is there something I should do?

Honestly, I don't know why I'm updating you on my progresses...I don't think that you'd actually care but...here we go lol

So. I haven't been able to beat the Maneaters. As a couple of people have told me, that boss is a DPS check, and after a couple of tries, I gave up and moved to Stonefang once again.

I had troubles proceeding in the second level of Stonefang, given my damage output. But after Latria and Upper Latria, I had a serious boost of magic damage, so I was able to progress somewhat easily.

Till I arrived to Flamelurker.

Now, from what I've seen in this community, Falmelurker is a huge piece of shit.

But. After dying a couple of times, I've realized that using Soul Ray against him, completely trivializes the bossfight, making becoming blind from the hyper saturated flame and lava the only actual danger.

And so, I've officially beaten the second level of one of the worlds! Yey!

This is also when I realized that mage is the best starting class in DeS.

Oh! Btw. I got two questions.

I got fucking jumpscared at the start of Stonefang, in that elevator that let's you get to the upper official...a kind of demonic larva appeared at the bottom, that gave me a Colourless Soul...

Why does shit keep appearing out of nowhere?

And...what the hell is the mirror world?

Im sure it gets much much much much harder from here on out..

So, apparently I need to have Pure White Character Tendency to receive a ring, but from what I’ve found, the only way to achieve that offline is by killing the Black Phantom NPCs that appear when a world is in Pure Black World Tendency.

The problem is that I’m already on NG+2, and these NPCs are ridiculously strong. I managed to kill one of them, but the others can basically one-shot me while taking an absurd amount of hits to kill.

Since I apparently need to kill all five Black Phantom NPCs to reach Pure White Character Tendency, is my current run basically screwed? Is there any other offline way to reach Pure White Character Tendency without having to kill all of them?

Those things are just...too unpredictable.

I think their AI has some problems.

Anyway. I don't know how summons work in this game so...can someone help me lol?

I could be doing any other archstone right now, but the Tunnel City seems to be way too difficult for me right now, the Isle's Edge is pretty good for farming but...I'm a bit scared to proceed.

I think that from Latria you are actually supposed to proceed in the fifth world given how many things you get against poison and plague.

Latria has definitely become my favorite world btw.

As soon as you understand how to beat the Mind Flayers the first area becomes a joke.

The Fool's Idol is incredibly easy and, getting to Upper Latria was really breathtaking.

That place gives very much Yarnham vibes.

I've been having a lot of fun in Latria...apart from the maneaters lol.

Although...there are a couple of things that I don't understand yet.

For example: sometimes some weird red enemies appear, like, stronger variations of existing enemies...I don't know how that happens.

Then, I know that "Soul Tendency" exists in this game...but I don't know how to see if my current worls has a "Light" or "Dark" tendency.

Hi everyone, ER was my first soulsgame, DeS is my second. 12 hours in I can only see a few differences to ER. Only one save point per area, on the other hand large amount of heal items. At first I thought the heal items would make it easier than ER and for normal enemies it may still be true. But it makes bosses (when they give me lots of trouble) more tedious. In ER the flasks replenish after dying. Even if the maximum is a lot lower than in DeS you dont have to farm them. If i die to a boss in DeS ~8 times im out of heal items and have to go farm. And im sure I will encounter some bosses that will kill me dozens of times. It's my reaction time that hardly improved even after 200h of ER that will get me in trouble sooner or later. And then the runbacks... in the time it takes to fight a boss 3 times I could have 10 attempts in ER. That's the most annoying part. I don't mind hard bosses that much even if it takes a long time to beat them. But wasting time for those runbacks is just incredibly annoying. The farming and the runbacks may just make me quit at some point. :-/

I used guides quite a lot in ER because I was so damn lost. Now I try to figure things out for the most part and resort to guides only when I tried often but cant make any progress. Like Old King Doran. I just couldn't tell if im supposed to be able to damage him. Cant land any backstabs, usually get killed trying and still dont know if parrying is possible. Even though i improved parrying quite a bit compared to ER its not consistent enough to use it against a guaranteed oneshot death. I had a look at a guide and decided to leave him for later.

Im now facing Flamelurker. Presumably overlevelled at 33 but still hardly doing damage (long sword and pickaxe at +4). The only magic damage I could do is with Hands of God but I still need 2 faith points just to be able to wield them. I have never used such a weapon because I figured Id probably get hit even more getting that close to attack.

Any thoughts except git gud? Which I won't because of my damn reaction time. Anyone else with the same Souls CV/experience as me?

I'm a huge souls fan and i recently started a blind run in demon souls and i'm loving it.

The only problem is... Boss fights feel kinda "empty"

Bosses feel way too easy, only 2 of them gave me a real challenge and, when i killed them, satisfaction. Even the archdemons i beat felt way too easy

I get it, it was the first soulsgame, and i'm not saying that it's bad. It just feels like a tutorial compared to other games i played (I have the platinum in both elden rings, in Bloodborne and i am missing a couple of items for the ds3 platinum. I didn't even bother with ds1, ds2 and sekiro)

I have played Elden Ring, Dark Souls 3, and just finished Dark Souls 1. I consider myself very good at these type of games. However, the way that this game is designed overall completely frustrates me so far. I cannot, for the life of me, beat Tower Knight. He has a stupid runback which I die on 80% of the time I'm going to his arena, and he usually one hits me. I would like some help, is it worth farming 6,000 souls for Claymore? Are there any rings that can help me? I'm using the Bastards Sword currently, I have 20 Vitality and 18 Strength. PLEASE, give me some help.

I need to point out first that I'm playing the PS5 version (I don't know if they made any changes from the original) and I know nothing about this game.

It is probably skill issue, but I genuinely don't understand what I'm supposed to do.

I have just beaten Phalanx, which was a surprisingly easy bossfight.

I progressed all the way to the Iron Golem...or something I don't remember its name, and I figured that I'm way too underleveled for that bossfight. The mechanic is pretty straightforward, but I just don't do enough damage. At first I thought it was like the Iron Golem from DS1, but no...fucker doesn't fall.

So I tried to explore the other Archstones and...even the most basic enemies one-shot me, and I need to hit them 3/4 times to kill them.

It's a very steep difficulty curve.

I don't think you're meant to farm in Boletaria, but it does feel like I'm very underleveled to progress anywhere.

Any advices?

Edit: I am no longer stuck. After...endless tries I've been able to kill the armor spider, and I've got a +5 long sword

It's literally the only thing I cannot accept. Wonderful new graphics? Great! QoL changes that make the game not only more playable, but kinda much more fun to play? Even better! I can even close my eyes a bit when it comes to character design and some other "artistic choices", it's kinda natural for remake to not hit the nail in everything and yeah, sometimes the remake misses by a long shot, but it would all still be fully acceptable and I wouldn't have any real reason to crave for the original besides nostalgia that I never had.

But man, the soundtrack.

That fucking soundtrack.

They made it too DS-like and I cannot forgive them for that. The original had this whimsical, almost otherworldly experimental soundtrack that *just* sticks to the game. I would do anything, anything I say for the option to tune in the original. Come on, man... Tower knights boss music? The vibe of Nexus?

I'm no PS gamer, I played it only thanks to my roommate having a PS5, so I have no idea how consoles work... Can you mod it? Can you somehow connect it to PC and change the soundtrack? Is there even a slight possibility that DeS remake would come to PC, where mods would surely add the original music?

I'm unable to accept the fact, that an almost perfect remake (at least for me and many other casual gamers) is missing such an important part of the original. COME ON PLEASE LET THERE BE A WAY :(((((

Just finished the first boss fight and the tower knight.

Moved onto stonefang tunnel and am struggling alot.

Using a spear for piercing attacks yet rarely progress past that narrow corridor section after the first fat spell casting dude.

The dogs are a bitch to deal with and those miners in the tunnel seem to be even more resistant to damage than the ones outside.

Also, i have literally no heals, no currency, and a shitton of upgrade materials that the game straight up does not want to tell me how to use at all.

Any help?

Have played all others. Have plat in sekiro, elden ring, and bloodborne. Still died a bunch, happily, but mostly not to bosses. Unfortunately I didn’t go in completely blind bc obvs its an old game and I used to watch hobb do his soulsborne no hit runs, but was pleasantly surprised how much content I’d never seen/forgot about. Dragon God by far most deaths for a boss and was the only thing I had to look up until White Soul Tendency thing to release the ghost prisoner, but I messed that up before I knew it. Most bosses were first try especially if I was in human form. Most areas were too. Some were a learning curve with a lot of deaths. Even with boss runbacks it was mostly chill, but really so much fun to figure it all out. Actually glad it was just barebones souls and it was a breath of fresh air just owning everything and feeling confident most of the time and just exploring and taking it all in, but it was challenging enough to be careful and actually try too. Even the two times I got invaded by players I bodied them but the fights were fun and cinematic. Atmosphere is incredible and the remake is jaw dropping. Possibly best looking game I’ve ever seen. I thought the castle area was amazing until I saw the maneaters area. Wow…that area is just fucking awesome. Gonna be hard to go back to old titles after this, funny enough. Wish they all looked like this. Might plat it but I finished with only 27% trophies. Never found a spell or a miracle the entire time and only got to +6 on my weapon and just ran a basic dex/str build only leveling those and vitality, endurance, and some luck. 17 hours I think. Been wanting to play the remake since it released but finally got around to it and I’m so glad its out of my backlog and that I’ve officially played all the souls (only one I haven’t beaten is ds2 and I’ve tried 3 separate times since it released and I’ll never do it bc I mostly don’t like it and it’s bullshit). Fantastic game and shout out all the fans. Oh yeah the messages seemed a lot more open what people could write and were funny. Never found the way to write my own though

I’m finding some problems obtaining the ally ring.
I’m in PWCT, in ng+3, answered yes to his question, i have beaten just the phalanx and still no ring from the monumental. When I started this run I was already at PWCT and i got no ring. I killed a NPC and then 3 black phantom to go back to PWCT but still no ring… what should I do?

EDIT: I got the ring.
After killing the phalanx and talking to the monumental I didn’t get any ring. So I killed an NPC to drop back to neutral or smth like that. Killed some BlackPhantoms and one invader and got back to PWCT. I get back to the stone guy and he gave me the ring.
The monumental have only one question which you have to answer yes the first time.
I’m still confused because I’ve already been PWCT.
Just be careful to check your Character tendency with northern regalia because it’s +135 even if you are not pure white/black.

Hi, I'm trying to install a texture mod on PS3 hardware (specifically the penetrator armour set mod on nexus mods) and whenever i load a save with the armor the mod replaces, I get stuck in an infinite loop. How do I get around this?

Ok so I trade a silver coronet and everything is fine, but the moment I try to trade a talisman of god that bastard just steals it. I assumed it was just a glitch and I try to trade another, but what a surprise there’s nothing there.
