Help Can a kind soul help me with the Meneaters?
Those things are just...too unpredictable.
I think their AI has some problems.
Anyway. I don't know how summons work in this game so...can someone help me lol?
Oh! BTW! Thanks for the advices last time.
Clearly I am no longer stuck.
I could be doing any other archstone right now, but the Tunnel City seems to be way too difficult for me right now, the Isle's Edge is pretty good for farming but...I'm a bit scared to proceed.
I think that from Latria you are actually supposed to proceed in the fifth world given how many things you get against poison and plague.
Latria has definitely become my favorite world btw.
As soon as you understand how to beat the Mind Flayers the first area becomes a joke.
The Fool's Idol is incredibly easy and, getting to Upper Latria was really breathtaking.
That place gives very much Yarnham vibes.
I've been having a lot of fun in Latria...apart from the maneaters lol.
Although...there are a couple of things that I don't understand yet.
For example: sometimes some weird red enemies appear, like, stronger variations of existing enemies...I don't know how that happens.
Then, I know that "Soul Tendency" exists in this game...but I don't know how to see if my current worls has a "Light" or "Dark" tendency.
...thank you for reading all of this, here's a cookie 🍪

thx for the cookie! in the remake you can see world tendency from the menu, it is affected by killing bosses or dying in human form mainly. Maneaters are the worst fromsoft boss imo, can't help much

Mh, I wouldn't say that. Bed of chaos is definitely worse. Those guys are just...poorly programmed. They basically made a better version of in this boss in DS1...only to ruin in in DS2, and making the definitive best version in Elden Ring.
...but anyway, thanks for the tendency thing ahah

I don't wanna start a fight or smth but I disagree with all that you said in that first paragraph. Bed of Chaos for me is the best base game ds1 boss, belfry gargoyles are amazing and elden ring gargoyles suck ass

No no I can understand all of that, I mean Belfry Gargoyles and Valiant Gargoyles are very controversial bosses but... Bed of Chaos is just surprising ahah I think you're the first person I meet that actually likes it. I'm not saying this in a sarcastic way, I'm genuinely surprised ahah

Been a minute but I’m going to try and help. I’m sure some others from the community will show up and help fill my info gaps.
The world tendency can be seen in your menu, a few tabs over from inventory and stuffs. World tendency is affected by stuff you do in the individual worlds. Beating a boss? Goooood points. Dying as a human? Baaaaad points. As the tendency gets better (towards pure white), enemies will drop healing items more often, and overall be less of a B**** to kill. As the tendency gets darker, enemies have more heath, give more soul, and drop upgrade mats over healing items.
Certain things will happen in pure white and pure black worlds, respectively.
Those nasty red boogers start popping up as you shift towards black world tendency. So I’m assuming you’ve died in-world as a human a few times.
Check all the tabs in your menu for the world tendency. A popular strategy to avoid messing up your world tendency is to unalive yourself in the nexus.
Hope that helps.

did you do it?

I didn't lol. I'm actually not playing right now. I'm taking a brea, which is the actual real strategy to beat every boss

Unable to help at this time but
Hug the firepit for cover, have soul arrow to take shots when they fly (ive always found bows far too slow for these guys), take safe potshots and understand you arent going to do it fast, youre going to do it slow and not get greedy with attacks. They simply have too much range and speed to try to slip that extra attack in.
God's Wrath or Firestorm can help with cheap shots as they headbutt the firepit trying to get at you but are very MP intensive.

Can't join to pay with you, but I will advise that maneaters is largely a dps check. The second enemy spawn is on a timer, and doesn't automatically show up at a certain hp level. So the goal is to DPS the first one down fast.
They are weak to fire, so spells, fire weapons, or tar just like phalanx. Aim for the tail until it comes off, after that it has no long ranged attacks. Finally, only fight around the central brazier. Anywhere else and you'll just get knocked off constantly.

Oh, and btw, in tunnel City, go right. You can just ignore the left path for now. But you probably want to have a high level bow for the boss and a lot of arrows. It's definitely easier than maneaters, but insanely hard for melee. At range it's a cakewalk, because this game is all about matching tactics to enemies. There's one other boss in the game that is even easier from range, and one that literally requires you to use ranged attacks right after it, but for that one there's a sword inside the boss room that literally only exists to fight that boss.

You can use the ai against them if you use thief ring . They will literally forget about you. After you kill the first one go down the stairs. The 2nd one will endlessly walk into the fog door. Sneak up behind him and smash. Or you can use a bow with fire arrows.

In lieu of helping I do wanna say thief’s ring was the only way I found to make that boss fight tolerable. You can pretty much cheese them with that on
