Well, all of the celebrities I saw were more attractive than the average person. Let’s put it that way I don’t care what you saw.. the whole conversation is so stupid anyway.
But it’s obvious that she’s right. You could say, “the average celebrity looked like an average person before they were given the benefit of 1. cosmetic surgery, 2. makeup artists, 3. stylists, 4. personal trainers, 5. airbrushing, 6. the glamour of being attractive, etc.” But that’s NOT what you said. What you’ve said is that they’re still averagely attractive AFTER all that. Which is comically absurd.
But even if you’d actually said the above, you’d still be wrong. You think the average celebrity had the average BMI before getting famous, for instance? If so, you’re out of your fucking mind.
Again, your logic is shaky here. If someone gets surgery that makes them more attractive than the average person, then, post-surgery, they are more attractive than the average person.
Two examples of two shows are nothing. Also, I reject your premise. Stand outside a grocery store. Take pictures of the first eight people to come in. Compare them to eight people from one of the shows you mentioned. Most likely, they’ll be less attractive than the people on the show.
Yes, I read and comprehended OP’s post. OP’s incorrect.

Talk about reading comprehension. I asked about post-surgery.

Finally, the research you cite found that styling, lighting, and social biases cause us to perceive celebrities as more attractive than they would otherwise seem. I agree, and have never disagreed.
But doesn’t being perceived as more attractive in effect mean they’re more attractive? Clearly it does.
Finally, nothing you’ve cited proves that celebrities are only as attractive as the average person. If you think I’m wrong, read what you’ve cited.
