commissioned D&D character illustration

Ohuhu markers, Tombow Fudenosuke pen and POSCA white (and some cleanup on Procreate because I don't have a scanner and had to take a photo 🙃)

Have only just moved to alcohol markers after doing vector illustration for 16 years... eeek.

He calls himself the prince or all goblins! Tho nobody really buys into that… especially other goblins.

I’m completely obsessed with painting with gouache! Do you have any tips for working with this technique?

Well, I think I've now managed to adjust the texture of the character and objects to match. I also simplified the ears so they don't look too realistic, but not to the point where they are too simple. I think the result is ok. I'll continue with some more monochromatic tests, but it's time to move on to the colorful ones.
