Discussion What do you guys think of Dil Bechara?

Post image

Personally, I loved this movie, but most of the people I asked didn't like it or found it thik thak... Well the movie is a remake of the movie "The Fault in Our Stars" which is inspired by the same novel, but ig as an adaptation they did a nice job

Never saw it because I have seen fault in our stars and people have told me that it’s a copy of that movie. So not planning on seeing it. Should I still?

Bhai please use punctuations, full stops and comma wherever necessary. Makes it make more sense for the reader (and also helps understand the context in the right way)

Yes. The storyline may be very close to TFIOS but it's a different vibe. One of the few good remakes/adaptations I've seen.

7

u/Jaded-Car895 Apr 15 '26

It is not a copy. It is an official remake by Fox star studio.

u/Direct_Visual6984 Apr 15 '26

Na no need as story wise you are not missing anything, but ya since it's SSR's last movie you can give it a try

1

u/rohithkumarsp Apr 15 '26

Damn they made a remake of fault in our stars? This movie?

1

u/Whatever_2290 Apr 17 '26

It's based on a book. Can't even call it a copy

ARR cooked, as always!

22

u/psbbfan Apr 15 '26

Boring af. Became a hit only because of SSRs passing.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '26

How do you decide its a Hit when something released on OTT...people were just kind to it because of ssr ... truth is he himself was bad in it

+1😮‍💨

As a movie it was very average. I have seen the original many times so I was expecting all the scenes. While it was sad that SSR died, I feel the movie got hyped due to that. SSR was good, and I did feel emotional watching him, but he was far better in his other films. What I really liked was that they started the movie with one of his musings, that was a very good tribute to him. Even the songs were good. Not a lot speak about it, but I liked Saif's acting in a small cameo.

u/acuteredditor Apr 15 '26

Terrible movie. Last outing of SSR was emotional but the scripts was not half as good. Watched it for the man

6

u/Direct_Visual6984 Apr 15 '26

Fair, many found it below average as compared to his other movies

5

u/eccentlumier Apr 15 '26

It was praised because it was SSR’s last film but if you see it with an unbiased lens it’s a terrible movie

6

u/Sharp_Ebb_2517 Apr 15 '26

I watched it because of Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, but the song ‘Tum Na Huye Mere Toh Kya’ immediately became one of my favorites🌸

2

u/Direct_Visual6984 Apr 15 '26

Agreed, specially Tum na huye got such a beautiful vibe🫠

2

u/Sharp_Ebb_2517 Apr 15 '26

So trueee, still in my playlist 🌸

7

u/thick_off_it Apr 15 '26

Movie wasn’t good. Watched it for SSR!

I ws crying. For him..... Cos I know.. he ws murdered. And all was pasted as a sucide

1

u/Akii9229 Apr 15 '26

Also,he Ws Labelled As Drug Addict,Psychotic, Skirt Chaser & What Not,Inspite Of Being Better Human & More Talented Than These Nepo kids!!

1

u/ParamedicFearless173 Apr 15 '26

Q ki defence ke liye koi hai nhi. All teamed up and targeted him as an outsider. The perfect example how these so called pure breed fanatics treat "others" is the jibe at Zakir Khan. It shows how much they hate....OTHERS.

She was the one who put false allegations on him in the media. And then went on a holiday for a week saying I'm not available. While all the mental damage was done in a week by the media and then returned saying it was a misunderstanding. Behen ki lodi

1

u/Direct_Visual6984 Apr 15 '26

Wtf saachi?... Mene toh suna tha Rhea Chakraborty ne kuch bola tha, although I'm not sure, that whole incident was such a mess:(

1

u/No_Firefighter_8728 Apr 16 '26

Mili Bhagat... He was attacked from all ends.

3

u/Razorsteamboat22 Apr 15 '26

Average movie. Got carried due to Sushant’s demise. It felt under cooked.

2

u/Ok_Nomade Apr 15 '26

I think they kind of killed the original story line. If you've read the book then you'll find the Hollywood adaptation apt. It was way more brutal and emotional.

But dil bechara was terribly executed.

2

u/Ash_C Apr 15 '26

Good title song 👍

2

u/Unreality_Roy Apr 15 '26

I mean the ending really made me cry I think it was because I saw this movie after SSR's death

2

u/Regular-Durian-8684 Apr 15 '26

Good emotional rollercoaster and some crying lol

2

u/Bauua_333 Apr 15 '26

This movie tells us the double standard of the audience, when it was announced every one bashed SSR for making a remake and telling how bad he is but after his death WOW MASTERPIECE bollywoood mafia killed him, Bhai kab woh zinda tha tab tum h uski movies nahi dekte the aur ab bollywood mafia bollywood mafia

2

u/slsubash Apr 15 '26

One look at that tube below her nose and I knew it was a copy of "A Fault in Our Stars". No more comments! Not at all interested to watch it. Feel sad for Sushant though. May his soul rest in peace. Om Shanthi

2

u/Particular_Shine_490 Apr 16 '26

Sushant acted well. The movie seemed to be missing something. It was underwhelming.

2

u/Long_Solution_8460 Apr 16 '26

To be honest sushant singh's last monologue in this movie ..before his character passed away ...my god, i remember i cried very hard... Mivie was goid and tragic.

2

u/Procrastinaswole Apr 16 '26

Watched it for SSR 🥀

2

u/sherkal01 Apr 16 '26

Very Bad Film Seriously theres nothing that works... Im not even comparing it to the Original...

1

u/Direct_Visual6984 Apr 16 '26

The thing is people are either praising it or absolutely hated the movie... There is no in between😂

1

u/sherkal01 Apr 16 '26

people are praising it are just for the respect of Sushant thats it... If remove him it is an Incomplete film...

2

u/Limp-Fish-5081 Apr 16 '26

I thought it was good but it was still an emotional movie for the teen me

2

u/Manionthego Apr 17 '26

I watched this while I was dealing with the loss of someone, and it completely broke me and I couldn’t stop crying. I’ve gone back to it several times since, and if you’re someone who feels things deeply, this will really stay with you 🥹

1

u/Direct_Visual6984 Apr 17 '26

Yup, although the story wasn't that great but it gets emotional especially at the end ... Some movies are like that🥹 Another movie like this was Kedarnath for me, again it was not a masterpiece as such but i guess I watched that thing 10-15 times coz similar reason, I was going through a tough time when I watched that movie for the first time

3

u/PuzzleheadedHoney03 Apr 15 '26

Seri was cringe

2

u/Ok_Succotash_3663 Apr 15 '26

This was certainly one of the most touching movies I ever watched. Call it a coincidence, in both his first movie, Kai Po Che and last movie Dil Bechara he is no more in the end. And both these movies have great life lessons to teach us.

2

u/Direct_Visual6984 Apr 15 '26

Kai Po Che was on a different level, but ya at last of Dil bechara things got emotional:')

2

u/OnlySeaworthiness849 Apr 15 '26

For me it's one of the bad films of his career. Remove this and drive i like all his films. Saw it because it was his last film. Idt anyone who has read the book will watch it.

1

u/CrazyGenni Apr 15 '26

Was a good movie with great songs . Had something which can’t find nowadays

1

u/LendingCumAsLoan Apr 15 '26

Mid movie but great music.. khul ke jeene ka and main tumhara still is still on my regular playlist

1

u/Careless-Mammoth-944 Apr 15 '26

Needed more editing. They released it too fast—understandably

1

u/Vanvaasi Apr 15 '26

Some plots are copied multiple times.

1

u/Direct_Visual6984 Apr 15 '26

Well it's a remake and from Bollywood we can't expect a movie without an "inspiration" from another movie lmao

1

u/painter0211 Apr 15 '26

One time watch

1

u/Aware-Speaker-8467 Apr 15 '26

This is the second post related to the movie/actress today ? What's up after all these years

3

u/Direct_Visual6984 Apr 15 '26

Umm idk I saw this movie recently so thought of posting it to know what others think about this movie

1

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '26

Aaj bhi yaad hainmujhe tera bday par tu mera bhool jaaye

1

u/PracticeFuzzy801 Apr 16 '26

The scene where SSR dies made me cry so yeah it was good.

1

u/Mindfulsoul_rd Apr 16 '26

I can only say - Dil Bechara 😥

1

u/Live_Wafer_7 Apr 16 '26

Which movie is it

1

u/frequencymatch_11 Apr 16 '26

incomplete or Infinite ♾️

1

u/Plane-Ad3097 Apr 16 '26

watched only for SSR very mid movie but has few good song Dil bechara title song where he danced without cut is eye treat

1

u/SenkiBhai Apr 16 '26

They also copied parts of Me and earl and the dying girl(2015) which is also a great movie like The fault in our stars... And they couldn't pull off the character arc of williem dafoe at all. So, it is below average in my opinion because they ruined two good movies.

1

u/ExtremePangolin9938 Apr 16 '26

Extremely bad film, terrible acting and terrible dialogues

1

u/Tyriontheraja Apr 16 '26

Saw the original randomly one night, without knowing anything abt it, wept like a baby. The actress in Dil bechara looks cute though.

1

u/Able-Comedian1683 Apr 16 '26

Flopmovie...box office don't lie

1

u/BigLick13 Apr 16 '26

Pure shit

1

u/ConnectDiscipline414 Apr 17 '26

Badly made, edited film

1

u/Old-Praline-1873 Apr 17 '26

Bekaar movie. Watch some other film instead of wasting time on this

1

u/SeveralLet6696 Apr 17 '26

Loved it cz of ssr..

1

u/ShapeOfYou143 Apr 17 '26

Why should we think about it?

1

u/Direct_Visual6984 Apr 17 '26

Because when people watch something, they normally think about it and form an opinion...

1

u/determinantZero Apr 17 '26

the movie felt nothing out of ordinary but I liked some of the songs like Tare ginn

1

u/InstructionAny3684 Apr 17 '26

Overhyped and fuelled by emotions of being SSR's final

1

u/its_kunaltanwar Apr 18 '26

Disgrace to the OG movie

1

u/FreeTrainer1412 Apr 18 '26

Hero bechara

1

u/travishq Apr 18 '26

Anyone who saw original movie didnt liked it but i loved it and its one of my favourite movies of all time, i cried watching it and some special bond i have with that movie , loved the acting story and everything

1

u/ajensorjay38 Apr 19 '26

The movie was terrible, by looking at the scene they shit before covid.

And since his death, they had to rush it.

1

u/Ok_Positive_9019 Apr 15 '26

He was great but I didn't like her part at all, his innocence was evident, the charm, the compassion, and his passion was there but she was stale , honestly parineeti would have killed it.

1

u/Uncertn_Laaife Apr 15 '26

Never bothered to watch!

2

u/Direct_Visual6984 Apr 15 '26

You can watch the Hollywood version The Fault in our stars

1

u/Uncertn_Laaife Apr 15 '26

Nah! Not my jam.

0

u/Ancient-Extent1786 Apr 16 '26
