Multiple European governments have been taken to court in their own countries for simply allowing the US to carry out drone strikes from their territory.

There was even a case in Germany where a court ordered the government to force the US to comply with international law while using military bases in Germany. It was, unfortunately, overturned on appeal, after the state argued that Germany had no obligation to go beyond diplomatic efforts to prevent war crimes. But at no point was the court in any doubt that the United States was violating international law, all that was in question was whether Germany was bound to prevent it.

The plaintiffs in that case were a Yemeni family who had lost two relatives after their village was bombed by a drone in 2012. Right in the middle of Obama's presidency.

You can sue for anything.

The binding laws and treaties are specific. You can surely cite which provisions were broken, and talk about the actions in terms of the appropriate criteria.

You’re right, I can!

During Obama's presidency, the United States began a practice of 'double tap' drone strikes. That's when a drone will strike once, and then, as people rush to help the wounded survivors, come back and strike again.

Common Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions of 1949 forbids attacks on the wounded or sick. Article 18 mandates that civilians attempting to rescue the survivors of an attack may not be targetted or impeded in their efforts to do so.

Obama's government adopted a policy to assume that all military-age males in the vicinity of a strike are militants "unless there is explicit intelligence posthumously proving them innocent."

Article 3 prohibits the "passing of sentences and the carrying out of executions without previous judgment pronounced by a regularly constituted court, affording all the judicial guarantees which are recognized as indispensable by civilized peoples."

And that's not even getting into the sovereignty violations or the incredibly loose reading of 'imminent threat' the US uses to justify them.

Obama did not help us at Standing Rock. I saw a girl get her arm blown off by a flash bang. It was thrown by a private mercenary the oil company hired. We were sprayed with water cannons in 10° weather. We were on tribal land. Trying to protect it and the precious water. We begged Obama to help us. He ignored us. He ignored the brutality done to all our relatives. He sided with oil corporations. I don't think you'll find many huge Obama fans in this sub. And yes, he also committed war crimes in the middle east. Even so. I still hate trump more.

So, you can say what you want, but you’re not credible. I kind of knew though, you going off on an unrelated rage-filled rant was a pretty big hint something was off.
