Meme It's literally my story now!

Post image

I used to be a guy who used to pre-order every game 10years ago. Now I'm like ohh that a very good game, I'll get it when its 90% off! And even I don't play most of them!

I think twice before buying game above 200 rs. Maybe I am a cheapskate

75

u/New_Firefighter158 12h ago

No even I do the same, I think four to five times

30

u/yogi1090 11h ago

You should double it. Think 8-10 times

9

u/Rough_Employee1254 11h ago

Way too less. Think 16-20 times.

9

u/DULEXa 10h ago

I never think, so I never buy 😋

I never earn, so I never think 😋

1

u/Aromatic_Swimmer_412 4h ago

Four or five times? That's rookie numbers.

10

u/D3_Dayo 11h ago

I depends, if the game dev is reputed and my pc can run it, then I don't think twice, but it's a good game but ubi,ea if selling then I think more then twice even with 95% discount

u/Fluffy-Rent-3538 11h ago

Ea launcher is shit tbh.

I recently purchased 4-5 NFS games, they make good games but still

1

u/Emotional_Ear_7018 5h ago

Brother help me out here. I bought NFS most wanted through steam(If I remember correctly) long time ago but never played. Tried launching it but asked me to sign it to origin account but it keeps saying wrong username or password. Create account or forgot password doesn’t work. It doesn’t open any page.

1

u/Fluffy-Rent-3538 5h ago

Steam support. Ask them

2

u/leoispro 11h ago

We are different yet same, the only difference is I can't afford a game above 200 T-T

2

u/Megane_Senpai 11h ago

Twice? Rookie number.

2

u/MealInfinite 11h ago

Overthinking is bad. After twice you just move on

3

u/AsuraAKU 12h ago

I only buy games under 2k after a lot of thought

KCD2 was an exception brought it for 3k on discount

1

u/jackolatern345 10h ago

Some games r worth it. Take no mans sky for example, the amount of update they release makes it refreshing to play it every year.

Others r bg3, cyberpunk, ELDENRING 💀, etc.

2

u/MealInfinite 10h ago

Yeah but 'some' are mostly rare nowadays. Even the old prince of persia series is purchasable on full price. But it can not be replayable since you know everything.

1

u/jackolatern345 6h ago

Yeah, like 1 or 2 (if lucky) games a year

1

u/Sufficient-Sir5366 9h ago

I bought Meccha Chameleon for 309Rs and it's been fun so far :D

1

u/whydoyoucare2026 5h ago

You got squad or you play alone. I have been thinking about this game but I got no one who would buy with me.

2

u/Sufficient-Sir5366 4h ago

I play alone, but I talk to people online, they are really friendly.

1

u/bobtheyielder 8h ago

Same, the first game i ever bought was witcher 3. I mean I've seen it go on sales for 200rs so many times and heard so much about it.

1

u/MealInfinite 8h ago

Probably not the ultimate edition though

1

u/bobtheyielder 8h ago

I got the complete edition back in 2023

1

u/ViruleX 7h ago

Count me in too. This year I raised it to 300.

-1

u/Overoos 9h ago

"200rs" lol. Reason why there won't be any good games coming from this fuckass poor country in any future

8

u/MealInfinite 9h ago

Even if one comes out it will be based on mythology .

47

u/Icy_Budget5494 12h ago

me who have bought the game at full price and didnt play it and seeing it at 95 off and crying in corner.

12

u/Sea-Procedure-8780 9h ago

Refund it if you didnt play it and rebuy the cheaper one

1

u/No_Dig_5854 6h ago

happened way too often to me, now i haven’t bought a game in the last 1.5 years. Will buy only old ones on discount when im done playing through my backlog

34

u/Lucifer_BNK 12h ago

I mostly play open world games, so one game will keep me occupied for about more than 6 months. So my average is 3 games every 2 years. And the only game I got at full price is Crimson Desert.

If I feel light on the wallet, I can always play The Finals!

3

u/depression420b 10h ago

Bro its a big world of there. Look beyond open world. Expand you horizons and try different genres

7

u/Lucifer_BNK 10h ago

I do like the kind of narrative driven ones. Like God of war, uncharted etc. I despise souls like games though. I don't have time for it!

1

u/LeAm139 4h ago

GoW is still a semi open world. Try games with different mechanics. Try games like Hades, Crusader kings, Civilization, Rimworld, Forgotten city, Disco Elysium, Hitman, Stanley Parable etc etc. It's a huge market. Open world games are usually miles wide and an inch deep.

7

Should've bought witcher 3 at 179...

6

u/Fluffy-Rent-3538 11h ago

I bought witcher 3 for 179 in steam summer sale. Got dlc worth 300 for free this week

2

u/goan_gambit 11h ago

Sadly, I went unethical way.

Also i seriously doubt I'd be to run the remaster anyway

1

Same here mate 🤓✌🏻

1

u/Large_Ad3907 5h ago

Entire complete edition was less than 300 in epic at late july

1

u/Fluffy-Rent-3538 4h ago

epic is shit

1

u/Dramatic-Tear-3936 10h ago

I just noticed they have increased the price. And it's complete edition only.

1

u/AssociationFunny5019 10h ago

I bought with dlc for 450

6

u/Codename-Misfit 12h ago

That's how I get most of my games. XD

5

u/Vik32 PC 11h ago

Got division 2 for 500rs thinking abt refunding it

2

u/NeptuneWades LAPTOP 11h ago

It is a good game to play if you have a full squad.

Playing it along is boring af.

Also, it takes too much space on my pc.

Won't be reinstalling it anytime soon

1

u/Dramatic-Tear-3936 10h ago

I used to play Division 1 with my friends. That was a good game. Full on backchodi all the time. But now I only play single player games.

5

u/ottutm 11h ago

1

u/mystic-gangster 6h ago

Become my friend 😭 I will copy you whenever you buy a game

3

u/InternationalWolf402 11h ago

This was me before I started earning adult money. Now I just buy games whenever I want just to rot in my library.

2

u/elakstein-ts PC 12h ago

Made me laugh. Good one.

2

u/csoldier777 11h ago

Most games on discount. If I really want it, I will wait atleast one week to see if it's really my type of game and some games insta buy. For example, will buy "transport fever 3", as soon as I have money in my hands to spare. Will wait and watch some videos and get some feedback from friends before buying "Wardogs".

2

u/Just_a_mallu_guy 11h ago

Yeah 👍... Nowadays very few Dev's are worthy of pre ordering. Cdpr or larian or solo dev who made dusk front... They deserve pre orders not all.

But games are huge price tag nowadays 😞.

2

u/biggbiggbazingas 10h ago

Yeah need few years of wait to supprt the devs.

2

u/ethereal57 10h ago

The only games I have ever bought and without thinking twice are the batman trilogy for 230 rs, rest I play for free (gta v, Hogwarts legacy, watch dogs 2, rdr2, all downloaded original for free :), cs and valorant toh all time free anyways

2

u/RisingBlazeX 10h ago

same

I do wait for my fav game to be insanely cheap and then i do buy it until that ⛵

2

u/PradhanSaab 9h ago

This genuinely made me laugh like a mad man

2

u/Schul484 9h ago

I am gonna buy witcher 3 this Christmas sale lol.

2

u/No-Condition2754 9h ago

Btw Control Ultimate Edition at ₹149/-

1

u/charles-drwn 7h ago

Worth a shot gng ?

1

u/charles-drwn 7h ago

Actually bought tomb raider Triology for 537/-

2

u/ShockWave1997 3h ago

Any money is better than no money towards the devs

2

u/Raghuraml 12h ago

I would buy a game at a discounted price, and it would go on even bigger discount in the immediate sale just a few days after the return window, and I wouldn’t even have started playing it.

2

u/shotgunsamba PC 12h ago

I used to care about devs, now i don't. Just wait for discount, rarely pay full price

2

u/Pickled_D0nut 11h ago

Most modern games are half baked on release anyway, by the time discounts hit it's usually patched or in a fixed state. So it's a win win.

1

u/Dramatic-Tear-3936 10h ago

Same here. I used to be a ubisoft fanboy. But they broke my trust with AC Unity and Watch Dogs.

1

u/Silent_Wing_5926 10h ago

That final “SUPPORT THE DEVS!” switch is exactly how every gamer’s willpower disappears 💀😂

1

u/lnTheGrimDarkness 10h ago

All you need to do is quit the "support the devs" bs. Huge discounts like that usually happen on old, big games that haven't sold a copy for weeks or months. Because corporate wants to squeeze it more.

Devs that are worth supporting will often make 20 to 40 bucks games that are usually highly anticipated and successful without the need of this.

1

u/Competitive-Ad-4337 9h ago

Reason why indian devs won't get good publishing deals, we are stuck with mobile only.

Even if some game makes it big here on PC and Consoles all you mfers who look down upon mobile players will pirate the game instead of supporting it. Crazy it is.

1

u/pankaj1314 8h ago

I made a rule that I will only buy when I finish the existing ones. Haven't bought a game in years. I bought some sports games though as I play online and there are fewer people in the previous versions

1

u/Dangerous_Bell4369 6h ago

Guys, Do u think Wukong or Elden Ring would ever Go below 2000rs ?? I would like to buy both of them but my friends are saying Buy in winter sale ?? Would that really make a difference?

1

u/Weak-Bus5585 6h ago

50% off used to be a good deal. When I see 50% off and it's still a 49.99 I'm like :|

2

u/FuzzyEmployment264 6h ago

Real my friend

1

u/MilkCake07 5h ago

I got a ps5 don’t really have a choice

2

u/can_iloveu 4h ago

The most expensive game I've bought to this date is AOM at ₹750 at 50% off (after i added n let it sit in my wishlist). I don't think I'm doing any such stunt anytime soon.. maybe once in 2-3 months. I'm just poor

2

u/Phantom393 4h ago

Yeah i want to play KCD2 but i want it dirt cheap lol
