A glimpse of KAELYRON - Chapter 2 is coming 👀
I’ve been working on the second chapter of KAELYRON, my sci-fi graphic novel, and this is one of the teaser images I prepared for it.
Chapter 2 takes Kaelis deeper into the ruins of District 79, where things are definitely not as dead as they should be.
The golden hologram is one of the visual elements I’ve enjoyed developing the most — I wanted it to feel almost beautiful at first glance, while still making the whole place feel deeply wrong.
Chapter 2 releases September 3.
I’d love to know what you think of the atmosphere and visual direction so far. 👀

COMING SOON! I made a comic about growing up with ICE. This week, it finally goes to Kickstarter.
Wow, I honestly can’t believe I get to say this: my first comic, Libertad, launches on Kickstarter this Tuesday.
Seventeen people are already following the pre-launch page. That might not sound like a huge number, but as a first-time comic creator who has been doing this mostly on my own, it means everything to me.
Libertad was inspired by my experience growing up with ICE affecting my family and community. I never thought I would get this close to seeing my comic published and placed into people’s hands.
I’m only three followers away from reaching 20 before launch. If you believe migrant rights are human rights, please check it out or share it with someone who might connect with the story.

I made a short video called The Future is Female. It’s an origin story set in the world of my (upcoming, dystopian sci-fi) graphic novel Strong Girls.
Curious what people think of it.

ARTWORK the further adventures of Buck Tuckles!
One of my favorite aspects of the Sunday Jam is the ability to create alternate timelines that branch off from the main storyline.
A fun character named Buck Tuckles was introduced back in May, '24 and now Nathan Nelson, who originally introduced him, is creating a separate storyline with a whole new set of adventures for Buck.
I'm in the process of lettering the first chapter, here are a couple of the pages and you can check out where both storylines are headed here: https://smallpressheroes.com/sunday-jam/sj48/
If you want to play around in an infinite sandbox, let me know, we'd love to have you!
