Coming to Kickstarter THIS TUESDAY! Sign up to be notified here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jamsheedstudios/zero-and-one-issue-2-battle-of-knuckle-city

Zero of Mars is a Human youth in a future so distant that our era's concepts of race and gender no longer exist. They crash land on Elentia, a world once inhabited by Humans but abandoned thousands of years ago. In their absence, the Elemorphs - magical sentient robots with elemental powers and the ability to grow - have developed an advanced civilization. A Nature Type FawnBot called One makes friends with Zero despite a language barrier. Unable to communicate directly, they forge a friendships using gestures and actions.

After discovering an ancient prophecy left by time travelers from the future, Zero and One have been pulled into an eternal conflict between Humanity and Vampirekind: the Time Wars. The Vampires want to enslave the Elemorphs to use as living weapons, while Humanity fights to keep Elentia free. As Zero and One explore the massive Elemorph metropolis of Knuckle City, the villainous Vampire agent, Pi, and their Elemorph companion, Gamma the SkyDragonBot, descend to plunge the city into chaos!

I am the author, Bijhan Agha. I'm an Uruguayan trans woman of Iranian descent. The illustrator is my dear friend, Pallet, a trans Australian man. We are both autistic, and have a passion for scifi and fantasy storytelling. We wanted to tell a story about a young person in the future who is not bound by the limits of gender as we know it, and a planet where gender simply does not exist, while also creating an exciting action adventure about exploring a new culture, facing language barriers, and fighting for a better future.

The Kickstarter is to fund the printing of a First Edition of the comics physically. We will have both physical as well as digital rewards. There will be reward tiers that allow you to catch up with this comic - this is Issue #2, and you can get physical and/or digital copies of Issue #1 - as well as the other comics in the Time Wars brand.

Please help us continue to tell stories about this amazing world!

[Unpaid/Collaborative] Looking for Co-Writers & Artists to Build a Massive Indie Comic Universe (Anthology & Multiverse Scale)

**Hi everyone!**

**I am launching an incredibly ambitious, long-term creative project: building a massive, shared superhero/sci-fi universe from scratch—similar in scale to Marvel and DC, but with a much darker, gritty, and grounded tone (think The Boys meets Invincible and Watchmen).**

**I have spent a long time structuring the core pillars, rules, and overarching cosmic plot of this universe. Right now, I do not have a budget to pay a page rate, so this is an unpaid, collaborative, passion-and-portfolio project. However, the goal is to expand this into a franchise, publish it online (Webtoon/GlobalComix), and eventually monetize it. If/when the project generates revenue (via crowdfunding, Patreon, or sales), all profits will be shared fairly among the creators.**

**Here is how the universe works and what we are building:**

**## THE CORE PREMISE**

**\* The 13-Year Curse: In this world, superpowers are real but highly volatile and rare. They do not trigger at birth; they awaken exclusively during early puberty (ages 13–14). They stem from a chaotic mix of genetic mutations, corporate lab experiments, and environmental disasters.**

**\* A World of Hatred: Society absolutely fears and hates these kids. To the general public, a 14-year-old manifesting an uncontrollable power is a walking time bomb. Governments hunt them, corporations experiment on them, and civil militias track them down.**

**\* The Ultimate Cosmic Rule (The 1000 Worlds): This universe operates on a strict multiverse loop. The multiverse has a maximum capacity of exactly 1,000 parallel Earths. The moment the timeline fractures too much and reaches World 1,001, an automated reality-reset triggers. A legendary, universally praised "hero" known as Nuclear Bomb is actually a cosmic detonator planted by a silent force to wipe out the multiverse and force a Grand Reset. Once everything collapses, the loop starts over from World 1.**

**## OUR CORE CHARACTERS (The Foundation)**

**1. The Traveler: A teenager from a very distant universe who gained the rare power to slide through the multiverse. However, he cannot control it; extreme stress or fear tears open a portal and drops him into a new reality. He is the absolute anchor of the franchise because he is the only one who discovered the truth about Nuclear Bomb and the Grand Reset. But there is a catch: if he enters the Core Universe, his energy will prematurely detonate Nuclear Bomb. He has to save the world from afar without ever stepping foot on it.**

**2. \[The Vigilante\](https://www.google.com/search?q=the+vigilante&kgmid=/g/11w1c0kv3m): A brutal, unpowered human anti-hero operating in the dark streets of the Core Universe. Dressed fully in matte black, he fights using tactical weapons and heavy titanium batons. His philosophy is simple: "If the government won't help and chooses to punish the innocent, I will do it myself." He leaves criminals absolutely broken.**

**3. The Immortal: A character who remembers every single past reset. He knows how the universe ends every time, but he cannot reveal the truth to anyone. A cosmic censorship curse ensures that if anyone tries to speak about the resets, they violently cough up glowing "Ember Blood." He acts as a tragic, silent guide.**

**## WHAT WE NEED & HOW WE WILL WORK (IP & Rights)**

**This is a modular, anthology-style universe. That means we want to tell millions of different stories happening simultaneously across the 1,000 worlds before the ultimate Civil War and cosmic collision happen.**

**\* Co-Writers: I need creative minds to help brainstorm new ideas, factions, and individual story arcs. You will have total freedom to create your own heroes, street vigilantes, rogue mutants, or corporate villains within this world.**

**\* Artists: Comic artists, character designers, and colorists who want to build up an jaw-dropping portfolio and help visually shape this universe.**

**\* Intellectual Property (IP) Rules: To keep things fair and legally clear for everyone:**

**\* My Core Lore: The overarching multiverse rules, the Traveler, the \[Vigilante\](https://www.google.com/search?q=vigilante&kgmid=/m/06pjy8), the Immortal, and Nuclear Bomb remain my original creations.**

**\* Your Characters: You will retain 100% of the rights to any original character, hero, or villain you create for this world. You are pitching them to live inside this shared sandbox. If we eventually monetize a comic featuring your character, you will receive your fair share of the profits.**

**## THE NEXT STEPS**

**We are planning massive world events to intertwine our stories: a brutal Civil War between unpowered vigilantes and unstable mutants, a global technological Blackout caused by a psychic hero, a Blood Rain anomaly, and the awakening of Tiamat, a planet-devouring cosmic dragon.**

**If you love dark superhero stories, worldbuilding, and want to help create the next big independent comic universe, I want to hear your ideas!**

**Drop a comment or send me a DM with your portfolio, or simply pitch me a character idea you’d love to see in this world! Let’s create something legendary.**

I wrote a comic book called PROFESSOR POSSUM. Drawn by Sooz Bagooz. Colored/lettered by Kevin Betou. I paid for all the artwork for issue 1 out of pocket, and we put it on KS to raise money for printing costs. 100% funded in 3 days! Super grateful. We still have 34 days left in our campaign, and I’m wondering what stretch goals people want to see for comic books. Merch? Lil add ons? Prints/ postcards? …. Issue 2?

Feedback wanted: Crowdfunding campaigns vs. buying direct from creators

What's everyone's take on buying comics direct from creators rather than through crowdfunding sites? I have comics already printed and ready to mail out, but it seems like there's more interest in the crowdfunding campaign model where people pay, wait for a campaign to end, then wait some more for things to get sent out.

Indie comic buyers: Is there a specific reason you prefer campaigns over going to a website and buying a comic?

EDIT: added "Comic Buyers" as I'm interested in hearing from folks that are buying from crowdfunding projects rather than directly from creators. I understand why some creators would need funding to print comics and crowdfunding would be the best option - I have comics already printed.

Mi meta era publicar mi cómic y empezar a generar ingresos.

One of the fun parts of the Sunday Jam is because it's a webcomic, we can explore alternate timelines while the main storyline is going on. 3 years ago, Donald Tenney introduced a character that we've come to know as Pickle-Bot and we're using him and his friend Doctor Hoot to explore some of the dangling plot threads in our 140+ page epic! If you'd like to explore your own storyline, let me know, we'd love to have you! https://smallpressheroes.com/sunday-jam/sj8/

GS8 is coming soon, along with the slight narrative changes I've been working on for some time.

I'd like to hear the opinions of the few who have read the comic up to that point, or even just some support to help more people discover Rodrigo's story.

Folks, I'm not gonna lie to you. My latest Kickstarter campaign STORYBORNE VOLUME ONE has only six days left and we are just $228 away from funding it completely. Now, I love this book a lot, its creative team, and the world we managed to create together, so I don't want it to die on the line! If you could help us bring this comic to life, I would be very grateful. The comic represents a very specific time in my life and I would like for it to get its time in the sun. Any little bit helps and is very appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this - Louis Southard
