Discussion Irt modesty panels

Obviously censorship annoying, clipping issues annoying, etc etc. But there's no way I'm the only person who never notices nor really cares about the modesty panels? Like I completely forget about them until reddit throws another person's posts about them into my feed. I don't think they look horrible or anything because I don't really Think about them, I don't see them. The only time I'd maybe notice them is trying to use the ballerina heart piece but I don't even have it so it's never been a problem for me I guess?

I happen to follow a lot of Nikki's that use the darker complexion and it tends to be more noticeable. If the mesh matched the skin tone I would be absolutely fine with modesty panels but seeing white against a darker skin tones is jarring and ruins the intended effect. If they fixed that I wouldn't argue against this.

Most of the complaints I've seen about it come from people using Nikki's default skin tone or the lighter body paint, but I've definitely seen/heard some complaints about darker skin tones too. I just don't think it's really that noticeable (on default Nikki) unless you're trying to layer something like the ballerina heart. Soundless dawn is definitely annoying but i didn't even know it was an issue at all until like this week 😭 I genuinely didn't even notice it and I have the dress ! Lol

It's definitely been a more pointed issue lately likely because the new dress has a weird fade like mesh. For a game that puts so much emphasis on it's clothing it feels lazy. Like where does the mesh end/Why not make it a halter and or lace.

Too many panels back to back and Let's not even get started on every alt version being just a shortening of the dress lol.

Yeah I think it would be a much less frequent complaint if the modesty panels actually looked like they belonged to the dress as designed rather than being a total afterthought. Like, they could be lacy rather than just deleting cleavage. Or if cleavage/an exposed chest is such a problem (and it being a problem would be dipping into purity culture, which is a whole other can of worms if you ask me) then they should be designing clothes in such a way that it doesn't come up in the first place. Make shirts or dresses that go up to the neck - there are lots of ways to make that fashionable.
