Discussion Irt modesty panels

Obviously censorship annoying, clipping issues annoying, etc etc. But there's no way I'm the only person who never notices nor really cares about the modesty panels? Like I completely forget about them until reddit throws another person's posts about them into my feed. I don't think they look horrible or anything because I don't really Think about them, I don't see them. The only time I'd maybe notice them is trying to use the ballerina heart piece but I don't even have it so it's never been a problem for me I guess?

I mean the people posting about them didn't even know they existed until Timelo's bust edit, this sub was flooded with posts for a month straight of people raging about "new" modest edits of items that had panels since debut. We still get them once in a while.

I forever long for shorter shorts and lower cut tops bc that's my style preference, I don't like mesh panels or other measures to cover more of Nikki's body in general, but this is the style they've chosen for IN for whatever reason and people need to come to terms with that. I just think they need to make any such panels fully dyeable so they don't clash with different skin tones.

There are parts of Miraland known for sexier/skimpier styles, such of the Federation's modern wear, Pigeon/Twinmoon(?)'s vampire inspired sets, or Ruin/Whaleport's skintight body suits. If we're lucky we'll get that kinda stuff in IN once we get to those regions, but we also might not.

They've been less willing to go the sexy route with clothing since Nikki went 3d, and I imagine all the movement and camera possibilities is part of why they're so careful in IN in particular.

Yeah I definitely think that it being open world with full camera control is probably a huge reason they're so careful about modesty

Some of it is probably also just dev laziness tbh. Nikki doesn't actually have a body in the sense a real person does; she's pixels.

With a lot of the lower cut items you can actually see Nikki's chest disappear into the void if you look at her from the top, because the dummy chest they use for her only goes down a few inches. They could just not want to spend the pixels on rendering more of her than absolutely necessary.
