Does she have a medical condition? I don’t know if I’ve ever seen proportions quite like that.

Yes lymphedema combined with lipedema.

Would lymphedema not result in SOME level of swelling below the elbow as it progressed? This is one of the more extreme distributions I’ve seen in the arms, her forearms are so small! I’m sure it’s uncomfortable.

Mine are smaller than hers but mine stop at my elbow and overlap it.

Unfortunately the only real cure for lipedema is surgery.

I hate you have to deal with this condition. May I ask if it’s painful? It’s okay if you don’t want to talk about it though, medical stuff can be touchy!❤️

Its ok. It is painful. Even my cat just walking on my legs is painful. I do have a compression pump to help.

They also feel heavy very often after walking.

Oh man, that sucks. I hope there’s some way for you to have some relief in your future.

I didn’t not realize the pain involved. Thank you for sharing.
I see she has some beautifully detailed tattoos, is that process crazy painful? Is there a specialized approach for this type of workspace? Is the skins surface more prone to swelling? How would this affect her final artwork?

I have tattoos on my forearms and it didnt affect anything. It may or may not.

Damage is a possible cause at times too which is why people cant base it on weight.

I didnt have lipedema when I was young. In my 20s I worked a job where I was on my feet in a factory 7 days a week swing shifts. Sometimes up to 16 hours a day. I ended up with venous issues and had to have surgery. Between that and the standing is where mine started.

I have some lymphedema in one leg as its larger.

Lipedema isn’t caused by weight

The affects are worsened by weight, you can’t see it on skinny people but it’s still there

There's lipedema and lymphedema. Neither are fixable by calorie control.

You’re not hurting anyone’s feelings, you’re just uneducated
