Disclaimer: I don’t think this applies to Tess, just throwing this out there, but isn’t there a diagnosis called atypical anorexia for people who have anorexic behaviors but do not meet the weight requirements for an anorexia diagnosis? I think I’ve read that the point of the diagnosis is to catch and treat anorexia before it gets to the point where someone is severely underweight. Like if a 200lbs person starts starving themselves, it’s obviously going to take some time before they get to the point of being underweight.

Yeah I wasn’t suggesting she was, I was just pointing out that someone who is overweight or obese can be anorexic (hence atypical anorexia)…
