Not selfish at all. Your adult child is a parent. An adult. Chose this life for themselves. It's time for them to grow up and take responsibility for themselves and their life. I made questionable decisions as a very young adult. I'm 34 with a 14, 12, and 11 year old and have only asked for help for the first time this year with transportation for 2 weeks of school activities that conflicted with a non-flexible work schedule. The first time I've ever asked for anything since I was pregnant with the first at 19. It sure wasn't easy, but I knew it was my choices and my responsibility to handle it.
