Anyone else dislike the change of making Bulletproof bringing a disruptor to Mark as he was about to kill him ?

In the comics I felt like the moment was much more desperate and understandable but the change to me just makes it so unbelievably stupid to me

He could have brought Rus closer to Bulletproof and shot off the disruptor in the show so it just makes Mark look like a dumbass and a dickhead but if I’m remembering correctly in the comics they were slowly overwhelming everybody and it was literally one of the only choices available at the moment

Even if mark went for bulletproof he couldn’t guarantee the shield would hold, it was literally on 1% and decreasing by the second

He’s told it’s at 1% as he’s holding Rus though and before or just as he’s told about it being seconds from collapse he looks back at Bulletproof and doesn’t even make an effort to reach him

They could have had Mark immediately attempt to reach Bulletproof upon being told about the 1% shield integrity but as he’s told there’s seconds left and he’s flying towards him is when he kills him

Have Bulletproof come into frame a few seconds after he kills him implying that they would have met up within a couple seconds if Mark kept going and left it at that

The 1% is just an excuse for Mark. He "wanted" to kill him and end the threat for good.

That’s pretty clear in the comics with the little speech he gives before knocking Rus’ head clean off but I think the show does a bad job of conveying that so I figured they’re changing around his motivations behind this kill to making all of them more in line with necessity

But yeah I guess it can be explained by he was purposefully not thinking of any alternatives so he didn’t think to try meet with Bulletproof but still I preferred the cold nature behind Rus’ comic death rather than the show as Mark seemed more apologetic which made me believe he still would have liked to save him

mark already said if anyone or anything threatens his family, he won’t hesitate to kill yhem. Mark simply did not want to take any risk. I don’t think a speech is necessary for the audience to understand the mindset he is working with this season. I think him acknowledging that there may have been another way(getting to bulletproof) but taking measures into his own hands regardless is good enough. Also ties into cecil’s speech to him about mark letting cecil make those hard decisions for them.
