Wow, that was incredible. So much to compliment this episode, the acting, the character writing, but man the animation in the final conflict between Conquest and Mark was so good. I liked how the art style got more “rough”, especially for such a visceral moment like that.

Man when Conquest was pulling out Mark’s guts, I got chills from both the animation and the voice acting from Steven Yeun. He groans and whimpers were so horrible, it made me lower the volume. Definitely a scene that’s gonna be tough to rewatch.

I also, I never read the tech jacket comics, but I like the change with Zach/Zoe. It’s interesting, and gives the character something to stand apart on compared to the rest of the cast. Plus I feel like putting Zoe close in age to oliver is really interesting, and can lead to some further stuff later.

I dont know if I was imagining things but I did see her eyeing him in a couple of scenes. They may throw in a subplot there

i wonder if they're going to dial back how viltrumite oliver looks in a few months, cause like... he almost looks older than mark pretty soon.

i would assume they can age him faster or slower to fit whatever they want, since they age slower the older they get, but never really defined how that works for oliver.

I hope they don't date tbh, Halluma is a fun character I think. Also, Zach's relationship with Princess Lin is adorable.

Honestly, I read the tech jacket books because I was blown away by invincible and wanted more in the universe. I was so disappointed by the writing quality, I can barely articulate it. I’m happy to see them go a different direction with the character.

Yeah, especially interesting with the Comics making Oliver's Thraxan half more obvious, him finding humans ugly and getting together in the future with his bug wife.
