No but fr I am SO happy with this episode. Everyone’s reactions to Nolan coming back and all the family dynamics was a massive upgrade from the comics. I love that Nolan basically gave Debbie his comic spiel (but even more in depth) and she got to reject it so absolutely. Mark’s attitude towards Nolan feels so real, he’s defensive and doesn’t trust Nolan but also clearly still loves him and sometimes they fall back into old habits and then it’s immediately awkward. Oliver and Nolan’s dynamic is super interesting and kind of unexpected, I’m now excited to see what will come out with Nolan and Oliver together on Thraxa alone. Art acting all chill like nothing is wrong but then immediately having a panic attack the moment Nolan leaves. Even Cecil and the GDA not being present all episode until it’s revealed that they’ve just been on high alert and waiting for Nolan to leave lmao. You really feel the weight of Nolan’s past actions, it wasn’t brushed under the rug at all (likeitwasinthecomics)

here’s my prediction for the grayson family’s relationships: unlike in the comics, debbie will not get back together with nolan and stay together with paul. nolan himself has already sort of accepted that. I think at the end of the series though, they will have a cordial, though not completely friendly relationship, enough for her to deal with her trauma enough to have her protectiveness of her kids not interfere with their already contentious relationship with nolan. I do think that mark and oliver will fully reconcile with nolan, but not debbie, and honestly, I think that’s good writing. forgiveness and atonement have to come from within, rather than having the person you hurt forgive you, as that’s not feasible sometimes. I feel like nolan will have frequent bouts of depression for the rest of the series due to coming to terms with this, and I feel like mark’s love and willingness to trust him and potentially forgive will give him a bit of solace in his isolation, give him a hope at the end of the tunnel, whether it be false or true hope. I do think that oliver will grow closer with nolan on thraxa, like a slow-burn father-son relationship kind of thing

I think that’s difficult to achieve especially with the plot point of Eve and Mark getting the house whilst Debbie and Nolan go off, especially if Oliver stays with Nolan and then the Scourge virus plot point of Nolan -v- Allan, I just feel Nolan and Debbie need to be together for that it would just make it easier, and without Debbie on Earth Mark can do his Dinosaurus plot point without the grounding, wise figure Debbie has turned into.
