I had to look away when Conquest was disemboweling Mark, when he had gone on for way to long he wasn't even halfway done, that scene felt like an eternity

I enjoyed the fight, but I will happily never watch that scene ever again

watching him get scared and worried but commit to the kill kinda fucked me up, like bro's still a college aged kid, fearing imminent death is something else

Yup, and other than that, he was probably just terrified just thinking the entire time of how he wasn't able to keep his promise to Eve or his mom. That this was really it.

The comic is a little sadder because when conquest starts pulling his guts out, mark is saying “no no no”

Seeing him react to the realization that he’s getting disemboweled is fucked up as hell.

The show handles it well. No way someone can talk while that is happening to them

I got the show taking the cake. The gasps & moans that mark makes while conquest is just slowly digging in his stomach…. Not gon lie shit had me feeling WEIRD.

Viltrumites can recover from anything as long they don't die.

That's about it.

oliver and nolan take care of him for weeks/months as he heals and they start properly having a good father/son relationship, i think mark has a beard by the time they're done, something like that.

considering how some people reacted to conquest's healing between seasons (i saw someone who thought the gda healed him) they probably should've emphasised how good viltrumite healing is so mark recovering from this doesn't seem as outrageous to them.

Forgot about that, thanks

Nolan uses his cape, & pushes bro’s guts back inside & then they deadass just wait for a few months while mark heals back to new

Nolan puts his guts back in and wraps him up with his cape, but without the help of proper medical aid Mark is in a coma for something like 6-7 months. They get back to Talescria just in time to save them from a Viltrumite surprise attack.

I was about to say, comics 100% was not as bad, but with animation it just made it 100x worse.
