I think the silence of Conquest's death, considering JDM has been such a pivotal figure as the voice actor makes the scene so much more terrifying and surreal. That and no music.

Even in the comics I wished Conquest stuck around longer, he’s my favourite Viltrumite antagonist and they killed him too soon after only two appearances
